    Intro sequence

Hello, forum. It's been awhile since I've posted here.

I have a question for you guys. How do you like to create the intros for your games? Do you use the cutscene tool, or do you just throw people into the game?

I like the idea of an intro cutscene to set the mood, tell a story, explain the setting, etc., but I'm also a gamer that just wants to PUSH START and get to the stupid game already, especially if I've seen the same intro around 50 times.

I actually ended up using the storyteller to tell my story, but I made sure it was fairly short and engaging, and didn't tell you what the story was about right off the bat. Clocked, my story teller is only about 3-5 minutes long, depending on how one would read. I have an opening cut scene that lets you know where you are suppose to go and who your character is, but I try to plop the people into the story slightly disoriented, rather then mostly so.

i just use the intro story usually with storytellers later on for comic relief and as a guidance.

It's best to avoid using storytellers alot though because
      1. it ends up being final fantasy like where theres a movie after a movie and no gameplay.
      2. They take up alot of space if ya didn't notice.
