    Let's all play: Break My DS!

    I'm trying to get Best Buy to replace my DS so I can have a shiny new one. Currently the main problem with it is that it often fails to read a game and at times it'll take several tries (turning it off/on, taking game out and putting back, blowing in slots, etc) to get it to play anything. I tried getting BB to replace it for that but they need to be able to confirm the problem and just my luck it refused to screw up while the Geek Squad guy was trying it.

    So I need a more reliable breakage to show off. Something that'll force them to give me a new one. BUT it has to be something that seems like it happened in the course of normal usage. AND it has to be something that doesn't ruin my DS on the chance that they still won't replace it and I have to keep the same one.

    So, get creative people. Break My DS!

    Put a lot of pressure on the touch screen. A lot.

    Oh wait, you don't want it to be permanently damaged..

      Make one of the buttons not work by smashing it excessively?

      Or you could do what Wal-Mart does and put super scratches on the screen.
      ...and that's why.

          I can send you my DS which is broke to hell, and you could swap the serials on the back.

            The serial number's completely faded off of mine anyway. But it'd have to be a black DS Lite. The receipt tells them that much.

                How do you go about breaking the hinge anyway? I've dropped and banged it several times over the years, usually open it all the way, even left it in the possession of a pre-teen for weeks and it's never so much as cracked.
