PSP to sell for $199?

I'm very excited about this. It could give the PSP the edge it needs to get back into the drivers seat. I know a lot of people dying to get one, but think the price tag is too high. Anyway, the link may be found here.

I hope that happens soon, i'd be on that like white on rice(unless it is brown rice of course).

Although i would like to have the I-pod style headphones for the ability to alter the volume on that, instead of the unit itself...but it isnt a big must.

Wipeout and Ridge Racer, and Spiderman 2, etc, etc, etc...here i come!

If given the choice I would rather pay the extra $50 just to get all the crap that comes with it. I know lots of people wouldn't agree with me, though, so it's a good idea.

personally, I still wouldnt want one until Armored Core: Formula Front comes out. everything currently on the system seems like crap. coded arms looks bad-ass though.

Well Lumines is an amazing puzzle game, MGAc!d is a great strategy game and Hot Shots is a damn fun golf game with tons of customization.

However, these are pretty niche types and if you aren't into those genres I don't blame you. If I didn't love Lumines, Ac!d and Hot Shots so much I don't know what I'd be doing with my PSP right now.

And yeah, Formula Front is going to kick my ass.

I don't need a case too much, don't need a demo disc, and I'm going to buy a much bigger capacity of memory stick than 32 Mb. So yeah, I wanna buy the PSP by itself.

Really, if you want a lot of breathing room on your PSP like I will, a nice sized memory card will set you back at least another $50, landing you... exactly where Sony began.

but then your money wont be spent on stupid straps and crappy headphones, spider man, and a case the PSP cant fit all the way in. it'll be spent on something usable.

Yeah, I've had my PSP from launch day and I still have yet to use it for more than an hour. Haven't even watched all of Spiderman 2 yet. It was one of my, "OMG I JUST GOT A PAYCHECK!!!" impulse buys. I sure could use the $300 I spent on quite a few things that would bring me much more use.
