    Deathrace

I saw this film today; while I liked the film, it was still disappointing. The original Deathrace 2000 had a scene of a guy getting peeled out on, while this one did not.

The science fiction elements were quite limited in this film.

But, the gore was plentiful which redeemed it partially, imo.

Its story was nothing similar to the original Deathrace 2000, but I shall say no more on that issue.

Sadly, it did not have a Sterling kit car on a VW chassis with a huge engine, green paint, and alligator teeth in the front.

Lots and lots of blood though. Lots.

The cars were like something you would see out of a modern remake of "The Roadwarrior", but without any kickass decals(such as skulls or demons).

But at $4, I don't think I went wrong with this choice. I rarely ever go to theatres.

      Re: Deathrace

I read since the cars/racers are all gray or have no decals/colors they are nigh indistinguishable and make the races/action tough to follow.

But what can you expect from Paul What Script Anderson.

No one should see this movie and everyone should see the original.

I wasn't even aware there was an original.

The most annoying part of this movie, is all the 13-year-olds calling it a Twisted Metal ripoff. I will probably see it sometime, since I *gasp* sort of enjoyed AvP.

I liked the part where the humans just kept talking.
