I'm very much interested in getting the soundtrack for FF6, as I really enjoyed every song in the game, even "???". I have a couple questions, though. For one, I notice there are more than one set of CDs for FF6 music (one of which is a piano collection). I'm assuming I want the "Original Sound Version". Also, would eBay be the best place to get the soundtrack, or is there an import site one might recommend?

If you want the original SNES music, it comes with FF Anthology. Otherwise, I dunno.

If you want everything exactly as it sounded in FFVI, go with the OSV. If you want it all in piano, go with the Piano Collection. If you want everything embellished into epic orchestrations, go with Grand Finale.Comment

If you want, I think you can get the piano collection or Grand Finale or something for with it for just a little bit more. I don't know if Animecast is legit, or not, because I've never bought anything from them. They seem ok.
At other places, you'll usually find the OSV for $35 or more, so this is a great price.Comment

That's why I said I don't know if they're legit or not. If you want to make absolutely sure it's not pirated, go get it from http://www.gamemusic.com. Animecast's ebay ratings look pretty good, but they have gotten one or two people say that they got pirated cds. So it looks like if they are pirated, at least they're good quality.Comment

Yeah, but not only is the music of slightly lower quality than the original SNES version, but I believe I'd have to beat the PS1 version in order to access it.If you want the original SNES music, it comes with FF Anthology.

If you got a good fast connection and patience for it, then you can buy it off of iTunes, it has all the soundtracks and some albums from The Black Mages.
