Brought about by Square Enix's strange inability to keep a canonical story going, I bring you Final Fantasy Factions!

Pick one, and only one, of the major games in the Final Fantasy series, and defend it with blind devotion! Heap praise on your favorite! Ignore all of its flaws! Hurl sarcastic insults at the other people who disagree with you(keeping it joking please, lest we violate the anti-fanboy clause)! Completely set aside the fact that all of these games were more or less made by the same people!

Well, I'm going to stick by the first Final Fantasy game I played, Final Fantasy IX. Although some of the charactars are sorta' eh. *Stares at Eiko and Steiner* It was a pretty solid game, and had me entained for a good while.

Anyone who backs FFIX is trying to be cool and alternative but ultimately becomes boring and uninspired because it's the nerdy choice for cool. the limit breaks in the game suck - the characters are merely cutesy reincarnations of past FF characters for the most part and the story ultimately is less focused than most and loses major steam the further along it gets.
