    (Typical) Newbie questions

Howdy, there! ^__^ Thanks for stopping by to help me. I'm sorry if you get some of these questions a lot but here we go.
1.) When entering a house, I want to have an edited music, but it plays the origanal theme instead of the theme I want, so I'm currently subsituting it as a event on the ground. It works, but I want to know how to do it so it starts up when I enter. I tried to have it in the same script that it teleported me into the house, but with no luck.
2.) I found when I was making a script, I couldn't have both an option and the question apper at the same time.
    ((Ex:
Text: 'Who do you want to take the weapon?'
Input: Multiple choice 2(10,12) 'Char A' Char B'))
3.) Current big problem, I have a script that the main charactor and one of his buddies goes inside a house, they find something (Turning on a flag in the process.) but when they try to go out they are caught by the owner. Here's the question, I have it so the house is even and the doorway space is two units wide, I want the main charactor to look at the owner, but the problem is that he's either looking at a nice couple of boxes or the owner. I don't want to make a 'funnel' to the doorway or two scripts for both of the spaces. Suggestions?
4.) If you had to listen to a song from the game, which one would you listen to? =P

You don't need to answer number four if you don't want to, personally I like Explore 7, pitch at 4, and tempo at 126. =D

    1) ...Edited music? What does that mean? If you mean a custom song made of SFX, you need to do some fancy weird thing in the "Enter Map" script (I think it's in the Tips 'n' Tricks thread) or make it in a VFX (which Rodak used to wonderful effect in "Dr. Who - Waste of the Daleks"). If you mean a certain song playing in an area that is not the music that you have set for it at one time, just make an "Alt. Music" Flag and trip it whenever you want the music to play. Have an auto event inside the house that makes the music play if the flag is ON and does nothing if the flag is OFF. Hope that answers the question...

    2) When you make the Message Box/Text Window, set that little box that says "Automatically Close Text Window" (or something to that effect) is unchecked. Then, after the choice is made, use the "Close Message Box/Text Window" command and it SHOULD work...

    3) If the owner of the stolen property is directly adjacent to one of the spaces that triggers his arrival, use the "Turn to Face Event" command on the main character. I believe that it's under the "Leader" section...

    4) I mostly just listen to music that suits the mood; the songs that Rodak used in "Dr. Who - Waste of the Daleks" are all favorites, as are the four Village songs. In particular, two custom songs stand out: one a slow dance version of the very regal and violin-y Castle song (4, I believe(pefect for a royal ball/regal party kind of thing)) and the other a high tempo version of a very slow evil song (a Castle?) that makes for a very short loop but also for a feel of impending disaster.

I know that they're posted around here someplace, but...

1.) Ack! I'm sorry for not specifying. I'm using an 'edited' (Different tempo and pitch) BGM. I'm sorry to ask another question, but how do you make an auto event? Because, if I place an event inside the house, the game won't respond to it until I move off then get back on it again, and I don't think that you can put it inside the transport script...
2.) That worked like a charm! With a little editing I'll be able to make it seamless. Thanks!
3.) Huh...... I just looked through the script options, and I couldn't find anything like that. .__.;; The closest thing I found was 'Turn toward leader' And that didn't do anything.
4.) Hmm... You used the word regal twice down here... and you have a picture from Tales of Symphonia. A connection perhaps? =D

Side-note: Hmm... Do you think that I could learn from something from that, or at least take some ideas?

        1) That's because of your Start Condition. Set the start condition to Auto.

        2) Yay!

        3) ACK! Ha ha, I made a mistake. I thought that I had programmed it this way in my game, but I see now that it's not the case. You should either make a Script Branch of some sort or... you could make it into a scene. When the main characters approach the main hall, you could have some Equal condition events that trigger only if a "Thing Stolen" flag is on or something. They could use movement commands to move the characters to the center of the hall, talk (or something) and then proceed towards the door. This way, there's only one spot that the player can be in when the owner comes running.

        4) REGAL!! Have you been sneaking into my posts again!?!? Don't make me get Sheena to get Shadow to punish you...

        Side-Note: That? Tales of Symphonia?

Well, now you're three for four, I edited the music thingie-ma-jig and it works! And now that I have some room to work with, (I lost some room before, because I needed to surround the character with 'turn on the music' events.) I can have the characters move around and I'll be able to program the game so I could do that, but onto the important problem. Thank you for all of your help. ^^

4.) Well, I wouldn't do that if I were you. There's two outcomes ((If we do this the chain way.)), if you attacked Regal that would make Presea mad, which would get me mad, and you'd have yourself, Sheena. and Zelos ((I think that he'd side up with Sheena 'cuz... well... he's just that kind of guy.)) on your side and we'd be equal.

BUT there's the chance that the string from Presea would not go to me but Genis, then probably to Lloyd, and finally Colette. ((I don't know if Raine would participate, because she's mainly associated with Genis, I'm pretty 'meh' on Kratos, and I can't say I'm really attached to Colette.)) Then you'd have a three against five, which is in favor of the greater numbers.

Side note: No, actually I was talking about that "Dr. Who - Waste of the Daleks" thing.

            Wahoo!

            4) I never thought of that. Stupid short people solidarity thing...

However, Raine would not only not take a side in such a stupid conflict, but she would use her Teacher-Martial-Arts-Super-Cutscene-Only powers to discipline Lloyd and Genis to the point of incapacitation, thus evening the field. Unless Kratos intervenes, and he won't because Zelos is present (funny how they almost never seem to be in the same place at the same time), it's three-on-three.

And don't forget that, barring Sacrifice, Zelos is the only healer (well, semi-healer) among the two groups. And he's just too pretty.

Side Note: Yes, you could draw plenty of inspiration from Docor Who: Waste of the Daleks. Rodak uses VFX to amazing effect. The background music in the first area, while consisting of an approximately sixteen second loop, is made with a VFX and made well. The dungeon areas are mind (and system)-boggling, as the VFX that they incorporate are just so cool. It's a fun, short, and silly game, which you may never be able to beat unless you realize that items have unlimited uses...

What?! Presea's being the Dream Traveler? =O

4.) Ouch... Didn't expect that. *Shakes fist* Curse you, Raine! Cutting our... I mean their troops in almost half.

Hmm... You may have a guy who's pretty, and a healer, but we have a person who can cure too, Regal, has Healer and it's higher ups too. =P Maybe we should make a "Tales of" topic inside the Video Games form?

Wait, wait, wait, waitwaitwaitwaitwait... Regal is a healer?

                ...

                ...

                [Gamecube]: whirr...

                ...

                ...

                [Gamecube]: click

                ...

                HE CAN HEAL! With Healer.

That was astonishing. I must have missed it because I NEVER USE HIM!

TAKE THAT, REGAL! NO ONE CARES ABOUT THAT Testosterone THAT EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT!

Or we could communicate through visitor messages...
