forum index is cached data that retrieves very little new data when visited.

I want to see how long an edit takes to process. that's not cached, and it's more intensive as well.

it always used to be quick for me, let me check

edit: took about 3 seconds, when it used to be almost instantaneous.

Second go, instant.

Third go, <1 second.

- took 3 seconds to load. hitting reply actually took longer than hitting edit.

- 3 seconds once again.

- took around 18 seconds after I hit save for it to actually return to the original page. hitting edit again this time took like 5 seconds.

- instantly. i'm done with this little game.

hmm, so the performance is slowly getting back to normal. that's good.

I assume people are still getting the "this is a duplicate of a post you've made within the last blah blah blah" warnings occasionally?

Jesus, it took me a couple of minutes just for my response window to show up. My computer isn't the fastest thing, but damn. Hope things get back to normal soon.

I've always had good days and bad performance-wise with the pav, so I doubt this would be any different.

Also, I don't believe i've ever had the "duplicate post" message.
