    The Saddleback Presidential Forum Debate

After watching the Youtube videos, the highlights, the responses, and even some conspiracy theories, I've come to my own conclusion about the event:

(Before reading this, please come to your own conclusion first)
    *** SPOILERS ***
    John McCain won.

Not because he was speaking strangely clearly, and responding oddly quickly for a man nearing his deathbed. It was because this was easy for him to win. Too easy. He was speaking before many of his core fans, the right wing evangelicals. He only had to utter 1 sentence about abortion to receive a standing ovation.

Actually this is the only event I've seen McCain speaking so clearly and readily. It's almost as if he was cheating? Naaaahhh, couldn't happen at an evangelical political event.

To me, Obama made the most sense on all issues, so my vote hasn't changed yet. I think this debate proves however, that this'll be a very close and brutal election, with religion on one side and secular on the other. I'm already at ends with my parents, who live in Catholic City (Wichita, KS) and are strongly (blindly, I say!) pro-life.

    *** END SPOILERS ***

What's your conclusion? Who do you think won? Who do you think made the most sense? Why do you feel that way, and how do you think this event will effect the election?
    ...and that's why.

When you speak in front of the people that love you anyhow it's easy to win over them...

Obama was asked different questions, if you paid attention.

Also, McCain's "cone of silence" was the inside of a car in his motorcade.

This wasn't a debate at all, it was an interview performed by a ****ing huckster.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

I would prefer to have Obama in the white house because we really really need young people in the branches and office. I don't like how everybody in there is old and disconnected from what people really want and trying to keep the traditional sense of values. It's most likely the reason gays haven't been able to marry throughout the country.

They're finally starting to talk about the riggable voting machines on the news now, but action is being taken too late to do anything about the problem.

If the election is close, then it will probably be rigged again.

I could care less for either candidate at this point. I once saw Obama termed as "the prince of bait and switch" on another forum, and that term is very apt. He acted and talked 'liberal' to garner votes, and then turns around and votes differently(eg. granting the telecoms immunity from any lawsuits arising from the government illegally recording your phone calls or internet use, among many other issues). Even despite this, Obama is the least fascist presidential candidate nominee that either of the 'two parties' has seen in perhaps 2 decades, but it still doesn't change what he is... he appears to be more of a false hope; the people are demanding change, and they will vote for whoever they perceive will bring it.

I might vote for him depending on who his VP nominee is, but I'm most likely writing in Ron Paul, or if Nader is on the ballot, selecting him...
