yea, i finally got a new computer. after using the labtop for a month or so i am glad to have my own.
here is what i got:
LG 22" flat screen 1680x1050 - black $250
cool master 690 AXT mid tower case $80
sapphire radeon HD 4870 $330
corsair 550w ATX power supply $95
500gig western sata digital drive $70
corsair 2gig ram $105
pioneer dvd drive/burner $30
intel core 2 quad core Q6600 $210
asus p5k/epu motherboard $110
and i got a new chair but i wont count it.
grand total = $1280
this system is very nice and i will be spending much more time online then i have been. even greater, it turns out that my main 60 gig drive is fine so i was able to recover everything of value (10 years of unrecoverable data) so im happy with that (my game is fine now too). it looks like the drive on my old comp was pooched, so this new computer was a good choice.
the only problems i have left are getting a new keyboard and mouse, (the one i wanted isnt available other then online) a crap dvi cable the knob sold me which wasnt compatible with the monitor i bought from him, even though i asked him for the one for this unit, and i dont have any ports for my dex drive. everything else i can handle except my dex.
how am i going to use my dex? all i have are usb, and a firewire hub. can i get any attachments that can adapt an old school small plug to fit this new technology? is it possible to use the ps2 max drive to get rpg maker files from the ps1 card?
