Anti-Virus Protection

I've got CounterSpy as my spyware protector, and am having a hard time deciding on what Anti-Virus program to install on my computer.

This is what I've boiled it down to.

• AVG Anti-Virus
• McAfee 2008
• Avast!
• Aviva Anti-Virus

I can get McAfee for free, and the other ones already are free. Does anyohe here have experience with any of these or have a preference?

AVG for me. Avast is a bit too obnoxious for my tastes, but AVG is very nice and in the background.

AVG works really well on every PC I've ever used, it can be a bit annoying sometimes but it definitely works.

I use Avast! and it's pretty sweet.

Just dont ignore it once like I did....bad things.

I dont use any, never have, and I've never had a reason to.

In my experience, AVG is the best free antivirus, and Norton is the best purchased one.

Ditto. I don't go around opening random emails like some jackass. Or clicking or visiting sites or downloading suspicious programs. It's pretty easy.

I'm using a Mac and and that seems to be working kinda.
