Im playing GTA4 today and I actually decide im going to follow traffic laws... DUMB IDEA, Im sitting at a red light and a car smashes into me, the guy gets out of the car and shoots me. Same with Midnight Club, Its almost like these games encourage Crazy and Reckless driving.

Re: Investigating In-Game traffic laws.
Have you ever played the Driver series? The cars follow all safety/traffic laws...youll get the occassional speeder or light runner...but if you stop at a red light the car behind you will stop behind you without hitting you, when the light turns green if you sit there theyll honk at you to go.
If you exceed the speed limit/run red lights/cross the double yellow lines/etc... and a cop sees you he'll alert other officers.

Re: Investigating In-Game traffic laws.
Yeah they have a survival type mode in the game where they place you in an old abandoned construction site with 10 cop cars all out to get you and they time how long you can survive...its awesome
The have altogether like a total of 8-9 different modes.
I know the original Driver is like that, Im not sure about Driv3r though

The damn cops in GTA 4.
I'm being shot at by two punks and they do nothing
but when I return fire they shoot me. What is this discrimination!?Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

Re: Investigating In-Game traffic laws.
It's a shame Driv3r is a pretty generic game.
This... shouldn't happen. The cops in GTA4 actually go after law breakers. If someone smashes into them or they see you getting beat up or shot they'll actively fight the guys fighting you and they even arrest people (which leads to hilarious shootouts or staged breakouts if the dudes are part of a gang).Originally posted by Tintenfisch View PostThe damn cops in GTA 4.

They still don't let you defend yourself. In Vice City you could beat up someone a cop was chasing without being arrest but if you so much as fight back in GTA4 the cops will instantly ignore everyone else unless they have guns. In Saint's Row, cops wouldn't bother you if you shot gang members. Why Rockstar can't adopt this policy is beyond me.
