Lack of logical thought when sleep deprived.

It seems like everytime I go to work on nightshift(6pm-6am), I come home and go to sleep and I think "I cant go to sleep, the cartons will start backing up..." and I seriously feel like I need to get up and pile down cartons before they start backing up...to the point to where I know they are...then logical thought kicks in for a slight second and say "You're off work...go to sleep"....then its right back to backed up cartons...and I stay awake for 1-2 hours paranoid that Im getting behind and everyones going to be mad at me, and it drives me INSANE, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CARTONS TO PILE DOWN BUT IM STILL GETTING BACKED UP!!!

Then I fall asleep and everythings ok.

Does this ever happen to anyone else where they start getting so tired they actually start believing something even though its not true?

You could also throw in some drunk stories too if you want.

Sometimes early in the morning or right before I fall asleep, I start taking my current worries and warping them to something else. I'll be half asleep in the morning, knowing I have to go do this thing because it's very important, but even if I don't have to do it until 3 PM my mind keeps jabbing my body awake saying, "HEY, YOU GOTTA GO DO THIS THING RIGHT NOW OR ELSE" and then my dreams start getting weird.

I'd describe it to you but I have terrible memory when it comes to dreams.

Also I'm a very happy drunk. Normally I don't talk much but get me drunk and I probably won't shut up because it'll feel too good/weird to move my mouth.

One time I was moderately hammered, watched the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on TV. I can't remember if I was laughing hysterically at random inexplicable things, or how bad it was. At one point I was like, "Dude, is that the Hulk? *giggles*"
    ...and that's why.

I just get irritated like most people.
Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

Being really sleep deprived is my favorite state to be in, better than weed or booze!

This one time, my work had me work til 11 pm and then have to go to work at 6 am. Let's see... 20 minute drive back home, take meds, stay up two hours because I have to thanks to the meds, then wake up at 4 am to get ready for work. Yeah, I wasn't happy and I let everyone know that.

I remember I use to have a hard time sleeping because I would feel that I would be late to work or that I was ringing in a customer on the register wrong. The worst was when I would wake up and answer my remote-control with something like "Thanks for calling Pizza Chain, this is so-and-so, how can I help...aw damn.." and have a heck of a time falling back to sleep for fear of missing a pizza order.

I spent the night drinking (not heavily, but still enough) and the rest of that night studying for an exam and writing a paper. I didn't sleep. By 10am I was exhausted to the point where I wa falling asleep in my chair while my friend and I were going over the notes and I was responding with nonsensical answers. "The man in the silly hat." "Bacon is not a vegetable."

I later snapped out of it, took my exam with flyng colors thanks to the help of Mr. Daniels, handed in my paper and went straight back to my bed. There I was though, staring at the ceiling unable to fall asleep. But how could I with the loud drilling and thumping going around. It was the last week of college, people were taking their stuff apart moving out and there was some maitnence a floor up. So I went to Taco Johns with a friend and got some food. Did a booze run, and partied again the next night.

I was up for at least 40 hours. By the time I decided to turn in I had more than my share of stories for the night and was drunk/stoned/sleep-deprived/I'm-not-sure-but-really-messed-up-yet-still-there. Then I wrote another paper and went to bed. The next morning when I looked at it I had to do a lot of proofreading to do, but was actually surprised at how good it was.

              Thus concluded my freshmen semester.

But other than that, if I'm sleep deprived I get really cranky. And I think/say things that don't make much sense at all. So if someone tries to talk to me when I'm asleep/awake you might be able to get me to say some crazy **** or I might hit you and tell you to leave me alone.
