Yeah, so long as it's not concealed. Machetes are an important part of my daily commute.


Edit: In California, the qualities of the blade may affect whether it's considered a weapon or not. For instance, a dirk (blade sharpened on both sides) is considered a weapon, and you couldn't carry it without a permit regardless of whether it was concealed or not.
