    Needing help plz?

    K i hope i posted this in the right place, if i have not plz move it to the right location or let me know otherwise.

    My question is very simple and here it is:

    I want to play other ppls RPG maker games on my PS3, i understand how to do this but I have an 80gb PS3 (version 2.3) and I want to transfer the games over from the PC to my PS3 using my PSP as the usb storage device, but when I do my PS3 says the files are corrupt. How can I get this fixed and do it in a way where it'll recognize the files?

    80gb PS3 is not fully backwards compatible, and does not support RPGM2 and 3 (and presumabely 1).

      actually right after you posted that, i tested both rpgm1 and 3 (all i have) and they are compatible with the games, unless the actual FILES aren't supported and not just the games (be more specific)?

        Hmm... You'll have to ask Valk, he knows more about using the makers with the PS3 than anyone else.

          All RPG Maker software works on the 80GB PS3. 2 has some technical hiccups (and can crash on occasion) but that is it.

          Make sure you first unzip the file (make sure you're downloading the PS3 version), and then on your PSP create the folder tree: PS3/EXPORT/PSV/

          put the saves (keep them in the folders that they were in inside the zip archive) in the PSV folder. then connect your PSP in USB mode, go to the device, press triangle, and copy the saves to an internal memory card.

            I'm having the same exact problem here. In fact, it's like this guy went into my brain, seen what I was going to ask, and posted it. Freaky....

            But anyway, I'd appreciate the help.
            Twothorp was in immense pain. The blisters did not care.

                Las emailed me his Evil Fantasy contest game to test play. I unzipped it, made the appropriate folders, but when I went to copy it, it said it was corrupted. The PS3 recognized it as an RPGM3 save, but it wouldn't copy it. I tried renaming it (still keeping the .PSV, otherwise it won't recognized it) and even tried renaming it after a different PS3 save, but it still says the file is corrupted.
                Twothorp was in immense pain. The blisters did not care.

                  nah it didn't work, I put the ps3 version of the game into the folder tree PS3>EXPORT>PSV after unzipping it, go to my ps3 and go under memory card utility and go to my PSP and it says "no saved data". And is there a way that someone could get Mega Man in ps3 version i'd like to see that
