I recently beat the last and final game GW:NF of the Guildwars Collection and obtained Primeval armor (a rare armor set.) The sense of accomplishment only laster about 25 minutes, after I was done showing off. I figured Guildwars was what was boring me. I installed 3 MMORPGS to play Silkroad, Deco Online, and Mu Online. I've had them for about 4 days, They bore me already and im only about lvl 20-25 in each of them. I went and played some Oblivion, got a bunch of bounty on me, did some quests. It got boring after 2 hours. I popped in Call of Duty 4, Played 2 games and took the disc out. MGS4 was the next thing I put in, I beat Raging Raven for the second time and that was enough for me. Killed Khezu and Plesioth, did a few gathering missions and some slaying missions with my brother, that lasted about 3 hours. Since all I have is a PS3 and PSP that I can buy games for, i am getting very bored due to the lack of games the sony releases. I REALLY do not know what to do. I need help. (I can't buy any systems but I can buy games, make some sugestions PLEASE.) Also for the record I would be outside playing, but the past 2 weeks we haven't seen good weather and im sick =[.

Re: I can't take it much longer.
It doesnt sound like a Sony thing, it sounds like you are bored of games in general it seems.
You really might want to check out some PS2 games (if you have a BC PS3) or check out some of the awesome SRPG's on the PSP.Vita, 3DS, PSP, PS3, PC, WiiU, Wii & 360

Re: I can't take it much longer.
I'd say go back a generation or two and try a different style of game like Jeroak said.
I'd reccomend the Genesis era. There are some fantastic games on the Sega Genesis like all the Sonic games, Landstalker, Shining Force II, Phantasy Star IV, Rocket Knight Adventures... But then again, you don't want to buy another system. But there are other methods.
I can always manage to have a lot of fun with Alundra despite how many times I've beat that game. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in give it a shot. You could do a lot worse than playing a game like Alundra.

Re: I can't take it much longer.
This is what happens to me periodically. I'll sometimes add up the colossal amount of money I spend on games in a year and get super depressed. I hate every game that comes out and contemplate selling everything on ebay.Originally posted by Karim View PostPlay less videogames.
They'll either all magically become interesting again in a month or two or you won't ever want to touch another one in your life again.
A couple of months later I splurge on everything I missed during my "depression" and play for days straight. The cycle then repeats.

Re: I can't take it much longer.
have you like actually played it or are you just saying that.
it really does help that there is an entire Wiki dedicated to this game.Last edited by Translucid; 07-22-2008, 09:41 AM.

What, do you think he's going out on a limb by saying the game is unintuitive? I tried it, and quickly realized that the designer must not actually want me to play and enjoy the game. There's no learning curve to speak of. It's more like a learning wall, and the game itself doesn't give you any equipment to get over it!Originally posted by Translucid View Posthave you like actually played it or are you just saying that.
I didn't know about the wiki when I played it, but I'm not even really interested in the game anymore.Last edited by Vanilla Iced Tea; 07-22-2008, 10:47 AM.

Re: I can't take it much longer.
no, the game IS very unintuitive. and yes you will have to play it for hours, and yes you really need the wiki if you're going to do anything with it. it's because it doesn't work at all like any other game, really. but I'm assuming Falnor has lots of time, and that he wanted to play something very different.
however, it's not insurmountable and the wiki on it gives several (very) helpful tutorials. I think just to write it off by saying it's very unintuitive (like I said, it is) is not giving credit to the really interesting ideas in it. it's not as if old-school roguelikes are the easiest games either.
course I dunno if garr was really writing it off or he was just succinctly saying that it is really unintuitive, because it really is not intuitive, so soooooooorrryyLast edited by Translucid; 07-22-2008, 01:02 PM.
