Because Nintendo hates Pikmin just like they hate Mother Kid Icarus.

I would die if that claymation-esque art was the ingame graphics. I miss Neverhood and Clayfighters.

The clay photos are just photos. They were used in Pikmin 2 for the box art, so I imagine it'll be much the same way this time around.

Now what about the PLOT of this game?

yea this is good news. pikmin is a fun strategy game outside of fire emblem. the first game had some kind of time limit or number of days to complete the missions in, so it felt kind of short, but it was really fun. never played pikmin 2 unfortunately, but with a new one coming out im looking forward to it.
