I've always been fascinated by the story of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and the preservation of Pompeii and Herculaneum, this is a really long article, so if you start it, expect to kill a good 10-15 minutes, but it's well worth it.

Thats crazy, I couldnt imagine an explosion that big.

Its also very odd at how the events unfolded at just the right times to cause such a major disaster such as that.

Which is part of the reason it is so "Unimaginable."
