How old is this? I thought they threw out the Anderson script, and that another director was working on it.

I actually thought if they took the basic major points of Lament of Innocence and then reworked it with a cast (Leon entering Walter's forest with a pose of knights with distinct personalities, maybe) and of course made the "story" a lot more coherent, it wouldn't make a bad gothy action flick.

I'd be all boo-hoo about this tarnishing things but the games themselves have done a fine job of that with the complete rehashing of material, 5-year old storylines and animu.
