What's up Lord Cohliani, how are you. So right now, I'm doing something different (and better) with the guide to get into the game industry. I’ll be hosting one-on-one phone consultations.
I'm looking for people who want to professionally make video games for a living, or anyone looking to break into the entertainment industry.
If you have know idea where to begin, if you don't have or don’t know where to get the tools, training, and experience that game companies require; if you don’t have any industry connections, or if you don’t know what school to select or maybe you don't want to go to school at all, if you've tried and haven't had any success; the information I have is what everything you'll need to work in this growing games industry.
I can show you how to acquire the training and experience to actually make money creating or testing video games, professionally, whether you've gone to college or not.
The process I’ll be showing you is the same formula that many friends and associates of mine have used to obtain high-level positions in the gaming and entertainment industry, starting from the absolute bottom.
Here are a couple of real life examples:
Andrew Bell- Film background - started as game tester, now asst producer
w Lucas Arts for Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Aaron - Graduated college for 3D art, became a tester, now a 3D artist with Namco.
Tim Innes- Business development manager (putting on presentations for Sega Dreamcast and Pixar), to Game Tester, to Producer at Capcom Entertainment
Adom Domenick - Game tester to QA manager at Leapfrog entertainment
Rob Jones- Game tester for EA, now Designer/programmer/producer for NBA 2K series
Scott Ferlisi- Started as a Production Asst. working for minimum wage, is now a Location Manager and has worked on flicks such as Spider Man 3, Pink Panther, and Bourne Ultimatum.
By working with me, you'll basically be jumping over most of the barriers
that keep people outside of the industry, in wannabe land. I'll help you get access to professional tools, training and experience for free or very low cost. I can put you in touch with game company professionals with big companies such as Sega, Capcom, and Lucas Arts, and provide for you real, professional industry knowledge. I'll also show you all the mistakes not to make, and how not to completely sabotage yourself (I have a lot of painful experiences to share on that note).
I've worked as a tester in the industry on over 17 triple AAA titles. My game designs appear in a number of games, including MLB Bigs and NBA 2K8, and my voice appears in some titles as well. I've also developed my own mods freelance. I have access to and have interviewed a lot of professionals in the game industry, so I can get a legitimate answer to basically any question you can think of. I've done a lot of research and I have a great source of knowledge to tap into.
Here's how it works.
Call me and I'll give you 20 minutes to ask me anything you want. You’ll give me an idea of your background and what you'd like to do in the industry. I’ll answer questions like:
What field should you select (artist, programmer, designer, etc) which field pays the most, what professional game creation tools should you be proficient in for the field you’re interested in and where to get access to them (without paying $10,000). How to learn these tools quickly and efficiently, and cheaply.
Overview of game development schedule/process, so you understand what goes into developing a game and what makes a professional game so challenging to successfully develop. How to acquire Game industry contacts to help you network and make valuable connections, before you even start working in the game industry.
What the game job Interview is like, how to prepare for it, and how to prepare for the unexpected. Where to find new/upcoming game teams you can join to get invaluable work experience and how to build a high quality portfolio*
Game Testing Jobs, how to excel in this position and how to use them to move up in the industry, as well as what game testing is NOT. Which college will best equip you for your career, how to properly apply, how to acquire Financial aid/scholarships so that anyone can afford to go to college. Game Industry memberships you need to be a part of and how to get into them.
If you decide I can help you, and if I decide you’re truly serious, we'll create a working arrangement. The goal is to have you ready to perform in the game industry in 3 to 6 months, 1year, tops, which is feasible if you do what I tell you. But it doesn’t matter how long it takes if it’s something you really want bad enough. We’ll set up an action to make this happen if you’re serious.
Call me right now at PHONE NUMBER REMOVED and lets get things rolling. If you pay for long distance, give me a quick ring and I'll call you right back.
PS. Right now, I'm giving people time for free. Once I get a substantial number of responses and start getting people placed in the industry, the free time offer will either reduce or no longer exist.
Sincerely,
David Dixon
