Zero No Tsukaima

I haven't been able to watch any new anime series in well over a year, but this week, I managed to catch my brother and cousin watching this comedic/romantic/magic anime and I've become quite attached to the story, as well as its characters.

I just found out that a third season is already being broadcast in Japan, so I'm eagerly awaiting those episodes. Has anyone else heard of this series?

Yes and it's like if an untalented Japanese man wrote Harry Potter.

Which is basically what happened. What's the draw of the series beyond "I THINK KAWAII-CHAN IS SO CUTE AND MOE!!!!"? The harem genre began and ended with Tenchi Muyo!.
