OK, so it's still two days away.

But we can't let the Canadians have all the fun, can we?

Anyone got any big plans for the Fourth? I actually have the day off from work! I hope to do the usual: watch a parade, steal kid's candy, get drunk, eat a hotdog, and then watch big colorful explosions in the sky!

It's the only day of the year that I like to be traditional.

The signing of the declaration of independence? Bah, thats the reason peace loving hippies give.

The signing of the declaration of independence didnt take long at all, where the war lasted 8 years, I think we'd celebrate the day for the brave men that gave their lives for our freedom before we'd celebrate a piece of paper that just demanded our freedom(Which England obviously didnt accept since the war went on for another 7 years after the signing of it)

But yes, we offically celebrate the signing, not the war itself.

By pure fluke... I too have July 4th off.... it's the last day I have off before my 2 week trip back home to see my sisters.

I plan on going to the mall and getting my hair cut at a salon that I have a gift certificate for...


and I wil begin packing/preparing for the trip
