Blue Emerald vs. Basic

Blue Emerald > Basic

I like the more placid, brighter tones of the Blue Emerald. Basic is just...too basic. I'm hoping for more layout selections in the future.

and you will get them. basic is only here because I thought the bright colors of blue emerald (was originally the default style) would be a shock to people's eyes after being at the dark pavilion for so long. so this style is set up to be a slightly brighter version of the old EZboard.

blue emerald is the true way the forum is supposed to look, and matches the new site layout as well.

we have a black and white one planned, and then "pavilion retro" which has the same exact design as the original pavilion forum.

I liked the original forum colors, but really that was just for nostalgic value. But these forums kick more bootie than them by about 800 points. Give or take 40 points.

I'm using basic. I prefer it because I'm sentimenatal.

If I had to chose a style though, I go with Pav 2003. The tan forums. it seemed...more..."fitting" to the sites theme.

But perhaps we could have a fantasy theme also, where the butons could be pictures of different monsters, and the scroll buttons look like gems.

I hope not, at least not right away. Blue Emerald is far too bright and hurts my eyes to look at it. I'd prefer something darker, if my opinion counts at all.

basic is very limited and might prove difficult to merge with the site properly. it will most likely be removed.

basic isnt gone for good yet, we're going to try to get it working with the new site configuration. but until then, it's not available.
