My Girlfriend Thinks I'm A Geek

So, last night we were walking downtown through this small town. It was nice and quiet, very romantic and all that. Then all of a sudden we start to hear some banging. I turned to her and said, "Do you hear that?"

She replied, "Yeah, it's kind of annoying."

I was like, "Don't you know what it is!? Someone is playing drums on Rock Band! Highway Star on Medium. And the pitch of the drum hits would suggest he's playing it on an X-Box 360."

    "Geeze, you're such a geek!"

Anyone else would have been impressed with my knowledge of such things.

If she can get past the whole purple thing - I'd think videogame knowledge would be no biggie.

What's wrong with geeky? Geeky is something to be proud of.

Well, I mean, you know what it sounds like on medium. That's not geeky at all.

She is probably jealous of your Rockband power!

I thought dorks were the people who didn't play Rock Band. Am I right?

My girlfriend actually has "I <3 NERDS" and "I <3 GEEKS" t-shirts. She wears them when we go to play at our local Magic: The Gathering tournaments.

Everything technological in this world was created by a nerd.

If you're a nerd, you rule the world.

Don't be upset, just remember: nerds control EVERYTHING!

if a girl pulled that trifling **** on me i'd smack her across her goddam mouth and catch a taxi back to our apartment, then i'd pour myself a highball while she walked home and thought about what she'd just done.

why dont i have a girlfriend
