I don't know how I can message you right now because my laptop's broken and I can't get it repaired until I head back to the US.
When I see you, I'm going to be in quite a state.
I have 12 stitches in the back of my head as well as several stitches on my chin. I was at one of the islands in Belize last night and was bludgeoned by two strangers who snuck up on me from behind, presumably with a baton or something to that effect as I heard a metallic ringing when I was struck. I went unconscious in a few seconds, but not before seeing my best friend getting beaten down and kicked.
I apparently lost a looooot of blood. There was a huge puddle of it on the street where I went down.
It wasn't actually a mugging, but my digital camera was stolen as an afterthought. They hunted us down on the street because of some argument my best friend had with them at a bar, so it was all an act of cowardly vindictiveness. They were just belligerently drunk because we had done nothing to instigate them...
Feh.
I'm okay now though. The doctors said it was nothing serious although my head was pretty much split open by the trauma. I don't think they even anaesthetised me when they did the stitching because I felt it a lot. Ouuuch. And I'm going to probably have a scar on my chin too. Hopefully it'll at least look nifty.
My sister said that 2 minutes after I was hit and passed out, I sat straight up, drenched in my blood, and blinked at her, then asked "Is Jose okay???"
Thank god my sister was not injured. They just grabbed her by the throat and threw her down as they beat up Jose and I. Jose has a broken jaw that is very badly swollen and he's heading back to the States tomorrow for surgery. I am very concerned about his jaw. He looks like a bloody chipmunk right now, on the left side of his face...
...Show me a good time in Texas, yes?
