    Star Ocean: The Last Hope

    http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/880/880434p1.html

I don't know how excited I can get over a game where I know the story is set in an MMORPG. If it was set after SO3 that would be different.

Were the other Star Oceans so bad that this one has to be the last shot to redeem them all?!

Re: Star Ocean: The Last Hope

After the third one I'm not so optimistic about this one. Don't get me wrong, the third one had a nice battle system, a 2 player mode, and still a lot of stuff to do once you beat it but I found the characters irritating...all of them...

Well, honestly, i'm glad it is coming to the 360 first, i'm not going to have much money for the rest of this year and most of next year, so less temptation to buy it.

I really am going to have to finish alot of my backlog finally.

Maybe we actually get to stay in space for once, instead of being confined to a medieval planet much like any other rpg's world only with the occasional random laser pistol.

I was a really big fan of Star Ocean 2, but I've never played any other Star Ocean games. (Except SO Blue Sphere for the Gameboy Color (Japan Only))
            Hopefully this will be good.

Re: Star Ocean: The Last Hope

              I loved Star Ocean 2.

Star Ocean 3 was like a kick in the groin. The battle system. The item creation system. Not like 2 was perfect, but it felt like a step back rather than one forward. The collision detection was awful and item creation system was completely random rather than relying on what materials you had to begin with you had to accept/cancel until you got around the amount that the item you wanted to make cost and hoped for the best.

When the hell are those Star Ocean PSP games comin' out, huh?

I played Star Ocean 3 for about 2 hours before I said it felt extremely dumb.

I hope it does come to the PS3. It's be a shame if it didn't.

And I hope to GOD that the PSP's dwindling success doesn't mean that they don't release those games. I really want to play them. Dammit, why does the PSP have to doing so poorly. NOTHING IS COMING OUT FOR IT.

                    (sorry to go off topic)

Perhaps you might want to read the article again, as he clearly said it is coming "first" to the 360.

Then perhaps you should read YOUR OWN post again, as there is a big difference between "undecided" and "360 exclusive".

Need i say more about reading comprehension...again?

I thought Crisis Core boosted the **** out of PSP sales?

I feel totally the same way. I wish there was at least one decent space-themed RPG out there.
