After blowing through medium in one sitting on GHIII [I got all the way to Lou without failing a single song even once (One by Metallica ALMOST had me...I was on the verge of falling out...like, if I missed 2 more notes, I would have been gone, but luckily, the song ended, and I passed with three stars)....and then was not able to even come close to beating him (I beat Tom Morello on the second try, and Slash probably on the 6th or 7th)], I wanted to go back and play GHII for a change of pace. Now here's the problem.
I'm slightly colorblind, and that blue-ish fretboard is REALLY f***ing with me. I can only hit blue notes after 2 or so cycles of a pattern before I even know they are there, and I don't have to tell you how hard engaging Star Power is, seeing as how EVERYTHING is blue.
So my question is, PLEASE tell me there's a way to change how the fretboard looks. I tried a different guitar, thinking it would have a different fretboard, but no dice. It was the damn same, with the blue and the stars and the moon or whatever. I want to play those songs again, as it's been so long, but I pretty much gave up on the game 2 tiers into medium when they added the blue notes. It blows that I'm not doing as well as I could be, due to something completely beyond my control, and completely unrelated to my abilities.
