Yeah, I've wanted to get into Warhammer myself, but I can only seem to find 40k, which seems to be quite a bit about painting and high priced to get on the ground floor. Is WFRP any different?

I used to play 40k in my younger days, and had a decent-sized Orc army. Meh...I broke up with my gf many years ago and left it all at her house, thinking I'd be back for it someday.
