    Using imported images (2 questions)

Hey, I really want to use imported pictures in my game.

    1) Is there any other camera than the one mentioned in the instruction book that I can use to import images?

    2) How do I use images for the characters in the menu?

unfortunately, no. at least, not to my knowledge.

this requires a little work on your part. you'll have to take a screenshot by pressing L3 and R3 simultaneously. load the screenshot image through the image option in the main menus. then, crop the photo in the VFX editor. then place the cropped VFX photo as a script command (like any other VFX) within an action script or if you're wanting to place it along with a menu or menu text within a content script, be sure to include the 'apply together' script command and also set the repeat count to '0' so it stays on the screen.

i also think you can set a frame mark (its a small check box) through the VFX editor where you set at which frame count the next script command begins, so the script doesnt have to come to a halt while the VFX is being displayed.

maybe someone can explain it better, but i hope some of that helps.

amazingly, even though the manual lists many cameras, only one actually works with RPG Maker 2, and that's the DSC-P30

it's rather cheap now, and can be found for $30 and under on ebay.
