    Insomnia

Dammit. It's back. And I haven't had it since high school.

I've had about 15 hours of sleep since Friday. Stupid opening shifts. Everything is blurry. And I have to start work in 2 hours, 40 minutesm too. And I won't get back until 3:30pm EST. Though, I do like the surreal feeling of being the living undead.

    R.I.P., my dreams.

I'm in the same boat as you buddy.

Had it in highschool as well, then went through a solid year of sleep.

However, lately, because of work, I have only been getting 1.5 hours of sleep a few nights I week. To make it worse, I conk out in the middle of the day.

This has lead me to sleep talking to Karr, something about arguing with him about not having enough badges on his apron.

What scares me is that I am prone to sleep walking, and what if no one is here to watch me? I'm 9 floors up!

      Re: Insomnia

I have insomnia fairly frequently, too much to think/worry about.

      And I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't
So here's to drinks in the dark at the end of my road
And I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope

        Re: Insomnia

I don't know if what I have could be considered insomnia, but I usually get a solid 2-4 maybe 5(if I'm lucky) hours of sleep per night. Except it doesn't come and go with me, it's steady. Except on holidays...

Man, I'm there. I guess I'll go take some benadryl, it's the only thing on hand that will help me sleep.

i had insomnia one summer and everything in my brain started going around.

now if i dont sleep enough im narcoleptic or something. last semester i ended upwith a bunch of work so my schedule didnt let me sleep for 3-4 days and towards the end i would black out at work and wake up different places holding things and doing work without any idea what i was doing.

                Re: Insomnia

Insomnia is my second favorite high, I'll be honest. Honestly, as long as you get 2 - 3 REM cycles each night (3 to 4.5 hours) your body functions just fine the next day. It does require that you sleep at least one night every week and a half for 4 REM cycles or more. Your body can regulate when to heal up and when not to if you give it the chance. (AND MORA IF YOU WANT CONFIRMATION OF THIS I CAN GO GET IT, OKAY PRINCESS?)

EDIT - I suffer from insomnia and an odd sleep schedule too. Most of the time I sleep from 8 - 11:00 AM and I'm awake the rest of the day.

What sucks balls is that when I finally fell asleep this at 6am, I was woken up at 8:45am but contruction in my building. The whole apartment shakes as they use a jackhammer to dislodge the balconies on the other side.

I worked 4pm-1am today, and the thought of hearing that **** again in 6 hours enrages me
