    ITAGAKI HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

    He's leaving Tecmo?

    http://kotaku.com/5012535/itagaki-le...mo-suing-tecmo

    To All Game Fans

I truly feel sorry to all the fans of the games I have made. NINJA GAIDEN 2, which will launch on the 3rd of June will be the last NINJA GAIDEN I will create. I will also never be able to make DEAD OR ALIVE 5. I regret the circumstances that have forced me to leave Tecmo, where I had worked for so many years, and I regret the disappointment this will cause my fans.

However, I can no longer continue to work with President Yoshimi Yasuda, a man who chooses not to honor promises even when he is able to do so.

I truly hope that nothing like this happens again in the future.

It's the end of an era.

TECMO's monthly "Sunglasses and Leather" quota will never be met again.

I hate itagaki, and do not care about what this may mean for him. His creativity and talent dried up with the release of Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox. he has never treated anyone else in the industry with anything even slightly resembling respect, and I applaud tecmo for not giving him the completion bonus. Him saying that the company president's behavior was bad is hilarious, as Itagaki has pretty much insulted every person and every game there is, even attacking the people behind Ninja Gaiden Sigma (which I'm sure REALLY helped tecmo's public image). the wonderful part of this is that because of his behavior, he has likely destroyed any chance or another company taking him in, aside from Microsoft.

I'm more concerned with tecmo's future now. They shouldnt be in too much trouble, since Sigma proved they have people capable of (re)making Ninja Gaiden games without him, and having it turn out stellar. the original NES games were great without him. I'm betting II will be released on the PS3 now as well.

Love how he called out the president of the company. Good luck, buddy.

I liked him. I hope he goes on to start his own little company or something.

God of War II managed to be better than God of War without David Jaffe directing, so they might still be ok.

The only thing that bugs me about the port of Sigma is the jarring load times during gameplay and I liked the original menus much more.

I'm usually alone in the fact that I like the original series better and I love the original story too...
