And not even for something worthwhile.
Just got off of work and rode over to the bus depot. Its just a big oval shaped sidewalk area with some little roofs, awith benches uner them and lamposts with numbered bus signs for each bus spot.
I go to ride over to my bus, and this ass wipe in uniform(not a cop) waves me down, and gives me the "Sir, are you aware this is a no bike area?! We're going zero tolerance.", then we waves over some old guy with a pamphlet and they write me a fine for 100 ****ING DOLLARS. It wasnt even like it was crowded, and I was riding my bike into people and gettign in their way. The only sign stating no bikes is this new small little sign you have to squint at unless you get up real close, that has an assload of rules on it. The only well printed signs around that you can actually read are these big "NO SKATEBOARDING" ones that have been around forever.
So basically the huge open walking area is the "bus depot", its considered a sidewalk, and your not allowed to ride bikes on sidewalks. You're supposed to ride your bike to the depot, hop off, then walk 10-20 feet to your bus. BS. After I sat down on the bus they were already hitting up other people with bikes, and anybody that was smoking. Which in all were alot of people, and that was only in the 10 minutes I was there.

Not even a warning. "Sir we are going zero tolerance on bikes in this area. Could you please walk your bike to the bus here from now on?", "Sure thing Mr.Bylaw Inforcer!". Nope. $100 on the spot. I even feel bad for the smokers too. All they have to do is walk over to the parking lot right across the buslane and stand there, and the guys could have told them that, but they all got fined on the spot too.
Time to dispute this fine like a mofo.
