Ah crap.... I say search ebay and try to find some controllers that do work. I wouldn't dump it, though.

                Im with Valk.

Burn it, make a video while you do it, then post it on youtube.

You wont get anything for a Genesis

Even if you do have some good games to go along with it.

I've been wondering what I should do with me working Genesis(s). I've got a lot of good games for it too. Like Landstalker, Rocket Knight Adventures, and Shining Force II.

I have a Genesis too, Sonic 2 and 3, Mortal Kombat 1 and 3, X-men(awesome game) and thats all I can remember. I bought this game with all the old sonics on it, spinball, Sonic 1,2,3, Sonic and Knuckles(with the expansion thing for Sonic 1,2,3) Sonic 3D, and a bunch for that Sega Portable gaming system(Can't remember the name).

Go find Bubsy The Cat, play it and then hate the ideas of humanity and consumerism for a little bit. While you're at it though pick up some good games:
Toejam & Earl, X-Men, Maximum Carnage, Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic 3, Earthworm Jim, Aladdin was actually pretty good in my opinion hell most any Disney game was pretty bad-ass ESPECIALLY the one where Mickey Mouse was in some sort of magical castle, Boogerman was fun when I was young, Comix Zone, Vectorman 1 & 2, Zombies At My Neighbors, Home Alone, Beavis & Butthead(Though the game was really hard for me when I was young, not sure why), Phantasy Star, Herzog Zwei, Populous, and probably more but I can't think of them. I never got an SNES till like 5 years after it died, but I did get a Genesis, so I played a helluva lot of games for it. Bargain bin at Toys R Us or K Bee Toys were little treasure chests for me.
                          Grow!

                            Re: old genesis

Most of those games were fun, alto. But Aladdin on Genesis paled in comparison to the SNES one. It was so poorly made, the collision detection on enemies was outrageous, and the platforming sections were a chore until you learned just where Aladdin's feet counted as landing on something and where his feet landed on it but you still fell. And throwing apples at Jafar for the final battle was just lame and not epic at all compared with the SNES version, or you know, the MOVIE.

I used to be able to beat it without getting hit once. =3

Also, the beat-em-up Power Rangers for SNES was better than the fighter Power Rangers for Genesis. =3

This concludes my "play the SNES games over the Genesis" because I loves my Genesis.

And OnyxVeil, you're either talking about the Game Gear, or the actual Sega Genesis handheld known as the Nomad.
