    Metal Fatigue

Picked up a copy from the discount table at Future Shop. Ive always liked RTS games, but holy crap I LOVE this game. Apparently it came out in 2000 so its not too old.

Its just like any other futuristic RTS game, you've got your tanks, buildings, gathering rescources, walls, turrets, etc. But this one has something different.

GIANT CUSTOM MECHS THAT YOU CAN ADD TO YOUR ARMY!!!!!OMFG!!!

    *spooge*

Can change around the arms, legs, and torso, for different weapons, defense, attack, etc. The let it stomp around your enemies base. You can even salvage parts off of enemy mechs after you've killed them. Then bring it back to your base, research it, and you can start producing them.

Not only that but your able to dig underground, teleport to a space station, or stay put on the ground. Can have battles going on at all three areas at once!

Too dangerous above ground? Build your important buildings underground by digging out tunnels, along with mech parts. Then assemble the mechs above ground. But the enemy can tunnel to your base and attack you from underground! How cool is that!

Then you can beam some mechs or tanks up to your space stations and reak havoc on the enemy from there!

Command and Conquer aint got nothing on this.

      Re: Metal Fatigue

Man, Im getting my ass kicked, and its only the third mission.

The enemy seems to be able to produce units slightly faster than I can, giving them enough time to regain all the territory I wipe clean.

I just need to start pumping out more mechs. Ive already got about 7 together in a group, and they destroy anything in their way, but it seems its still not enough.

And the fact that Mechs cant go underground sucks. Have to churn out tanks like nuts if you want to gain any territory there.

      Its lots of fun though.

the only reason I play RTS is to kick peoples asses in multiplayer, is there a decent sized MP community?

Side note, Dawn of War and ROME:TW are amazing RTS games.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."
