Metal Gear Solid 4 Reviewed

Eurogamer has reviewed MGS4... and gave it a pretty good score. Though the reviewer didn't care for the plot (too over the top, I guess, but that Metal Gear).

I got this from LameFAQs, where the MGS4 board erupted into a fiery storm of Xbox and PS3 Fanboy wars. Because Eurogamer has "trashed" the game and proving it will be a "horrendous flop" by giving it a laughably low score of 8/10 (this is straight from an Xbox fanboy, who only proves that GameFAQs sucks).

So after the war, I was sick of looking at GameFAQs posts and their pointless tossing back and forth of meaningless reviews (PS3 fanboys threw reviews of 10s, Xbox fanboys of 8s), I came here to a much better site with actual rules. Thanks for the anti-fanboy rule, Valk.

Apparently Eurogamer is going to change/has changed the review. I don't know, I heard that on GameFAQs, so that might just be BS.

But they still gave it an 8, and a lot of reviews on other sites and magazines have given it a 10, or around there. In fact, as far as I know, this reviewer is the lowest score given to this game so far.

I imagine you can add about a billion points if you actually ENJOY the story of MGS.

What, you saying you don't like the story?

I myself love the story of these games, save for 2, which got out of control in the second half. I liked the story in the Patriots and all, but Kojima went haywire with the subplots.

I just don't want to pay $60 for an online only game where I will most likely play against strangers and never win.

But I don't get better. I just keep dying. It's like if every time you tried to get up off the ground, I pushed you back down. And you didn't have any way to avoid it.

I played with Marcman. He kept beating me really, really easily. Gloom was never on when everyone else was and... I don't think very many other people HAVE a PS3 here.

I get my butt kicked in SC by Magus and Caciss and Jvr all the time but I still enjoy myself. Someone has to be the comic relief.

SC is also a lot cheaper, though :3

I'm just saying playing with friends is usually really fun even if you lose.
