I think we need livelier smilies.

While I'm certaintly glad we have them, I think they need more livelier animations. For example, maybe make the -> have hands holding its belly, looks left then right, then falls backwards and rolls left and right. Maybe have the -> blink its eyes. You could also add more, like create an angry emote expressing something like "you should do this and that" and make it have arms flailing about. Or make something like an "aware" emote and have its hand above its head and have it turn left and right.

I do wish we had a rofl smiley.
And a regular applause as the golf clap often isn't well suited.
I wouldn't mind having the party emote to pull out once in a while.
And I'm sure this one would get a lot of use here.

If we ever use emotes they better be community made or I am against them being used. Is Jeff still into gif making? If he is, maybe he could make a few more emotes upon request, it's up to him of course.

Yeah, my ideas may be bad, but you get the general idea. Basically, I just feel we need some revamped emoticons. That idea in itself isn't so bad. Sorry if my suggestions weren't very helpful.

we arent going to replace existing emoticons. we've had them for around seven years, we're kind of attached.

we can always add NEW ones though.
