Yeah I stop JPS's title because it's a similar situation...my bf and I are breaking up, and I'm sure some of you are "about time" or "yeah right," but I'm pretty sure this one is for good. It was his idea this time, and we have the same problems as always...after 4 1/2 years, he's determined it's time to call it quits since both of us have our disappointments in the relationship...and if that's how he feels then I have to agree.

So, I'm helping him move out this weekend and whatnot...and we're still great friends, but it's just weird. I'm mostly worried about him, cuz I'll be fine...and I'll miss him too. he'll still be about 1/2 hour away, but it's still a big life change.

So uh...yeah. It's exciting and scary at the same time for many reasons. I'm 28, so I'm still in my prime, healthy, and all that jazz...it's just weird on many levels, especially being committed for so long.

well, I'm sorry to hear that... but, if you guys want to still be friends, make sure you establish boundaries... me and my ex didn't and I was going to stay with him while I found a new place in a new town, but that didn't work out because I found out that he had lied to his roommates and told them I was an incredibly terrible person in every possible way. So now, I lost a "friend", and am moving to a larger city on Saturday with no place to stay... it's kinda a cluster frak right now, but I just have to have faith it'll work out.

There's no such thing as a relationship without disappointments, but if the way that you feel about each other has changed, then all I can do is wish you both the best of luck. I WANT to say 'just separate for a while, but don't call the whole thing off just yet', but I really don't know if that's the right thing to say.
