View Full Version : The absolute worst anime you've seen with your own two eyeballs.

Yes. List only two, please.

You must have actually watched the anime you are commenting on in order to bash it~! None of this "the buzz on the internet is..." or "my friend said this was..." BS.

I want stuff that's so bad you felt guilty for watching it.

NO HENTAI anime. We already know that whole genre is 98% crap.

Here we go!

1. Powerstone-
A wonderfuly inventive 3-D fighting game from CAPCOM... turned into one of the crappiest animes ever made. Cheap animation (including an overuse of still shots, held shots, static pan shots and other cheap ass animation tricks), horrible, pointless story (I know it's a fighting game, but damn), and the most annoying american dub EVER. Holy sh!t, if I have to hear Falcon's wussy butler say "YOUNG MASTER!!! YOUNG MASTER!!!" one more time, I'll make it my life's mission to track down that voice actor and crush his throat under my boot.

I paid $5.00 for the first DVD (new), and I felt very ripped off. It was so bad I could barely get through the first episode and then stopped at the second one. Total sh!t, not even a 3 year old would put up with this as entertainment.

2. Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer
Another fighting game anime... figures. How much fanservice is too much? This anime tries to answer that question. ASS! BOOBS! ASS! Why aren't you watching a hentai? I DON'T KNOW!

The animation is actually alright, if you enjoy endless/pointless T&A shots or have a strange fixation with giant, over-filled water balloons hanging off someone's chest. The fight scenes are okay. Wish they had spent some time on the plot, although since I watched the DUB (I know, just makes things worse) I don't know if this idiotic plot made more sense in the original language... but probably not. Sometimes the dubbed lines were so bad they were hilarious. The brother/sister duo takes the cake for the seriously weird/amusing stuff, though.

I didn't pay for this one, but my friend did. The bargin bin at blockbuster (and the $2.99 a piece price tag) made this OVA/series seem almost worthwhile. I'm pretty sure we never watched past the first one. I think they are both still on the shelf, where they have resided since we watched them, and they remained there even when my friend moved out.

Anyone else have some awful treasures to share with the group?

Rave Master: I accendently caught an episode of this on Maguzi. The episode featured the young heros caught on a train when the Big Booty Bandits were staging a robery. These bandits had the dispostion of gansters, if ganster were gay and had asses bigger than their heads. Throughout the bandit's pun filled dialoge they would strike various poses that showcased their butts. It was the worst form of potty humor I had ever seen. Needless to say, it didn't restore my faith in anime.

you'd have a hard time convicing me gowcaizer voltage fighter wan't actually hentai.

lesse....my two worst.....well my very low standards keep me from lambasting too many of the anime i've seen. but metroplis was really really bad. american style characters and lackluster "animation", if it can even be called that. i felt like i was watching some american piece of crap, not an actual japanese animation.

I lot of people told me Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals was bad, but I didn't believe them. I first saw it when I was 12, so I was mostly just like OH MAN FINAL FANTASY AWWW YEAH, and the fact that they used music straight from FFV was pretty cool, and I kinda liked the credits music. But I'm thinking back on it, and I can only even remember a few things.

-The chocobos were ugly as hell.
-The hero, Pretz (a play on Butz, I guess), splits a gigantic monster in half in a very cool fashion, and then says immediately afterwards, "He had a splitting headache."
-EVERY character introduced themselves the same way. "They call me Rouge, I am queen of the Sky Pirates," "My name is Mid, and I have tiny eyebrows," "I'm General McHugeChest," etc.
-This can be interpreted as a plus or a minus, but the main girl character, Linaly, involuntarily shoots a huge laser out of her butt.

And mostly, the whole visual style of the anime was really, really incoherent. And the flow and the pace just didn't really make sense.

... I think I'm gonna watch it again, now.

Edit: OH, YEAH, RAVE MASTER. That's the show with the horrible snowmandogthing, right? Does THAT THING remind anyone else of the waddling snowman-looking things you can throw like eggs in Yoshi's Island? Y'know? What the hell are those things called...

Double Edit: HERE (http://tsgk.captainn.net/sprites.php?s=snes&g=supermarioworld2). The ugly things right above Poochy with the carrot noses/beaks!

but metroplis was really really bad. american style characters and lackluster "animation", if it can even be called that. i felt like i was watching some american piece of crap, not an actual japanese animation.

Whuhn? Those American style characters you speak of are of Osamu Tezuka's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osamu_Tezuka) designs, with which Japanese animation began. Directly influenced by Western cartooning, of course they're "American styled." I think Metropolis is great.

I try to stay clear of terrible anime, but besides exposure to DBZ, two come to mind.

A friend of mine once rented Gowcaizer because he saw the ad in video game magazines and was a pervert. I happened to be there when he watched it, and yeah, it was pretty darned horrible.

I once went to a anime viewing session on-campus to see the first episodes of Stand Alone Complex and Full Metal Alchemist, but they played the first episode of Mahoromatic first. Although there were some lighthearted and funny moments, the maid premise in which the doll-like title character innocently and constantly "services" her femmy, semi-perverted, huge-bespectacled 14-year-old master just screamed "shlock!" The episode ended with the male protagonist passing out and remembering a scene from his childhood in which he's in a bathtub in the sensual embrace of his topless mother. :| One episode isn't enough to adjudicate the worth of the whole series, but I can't say that the first one left me wanting more.

The only anime I've ever seen is pokemon (that's anime, right?). So i guess that's the worst by default.

What's the draw of NOT sucky anime? I feel like maybe I'm missing something. I never really watched Futurama till Nixon got to me, and now I'm in love. So maybe you can do that again.

No mention of the Chrono Trigger anime? :lol It's so stupid. Lucca and Chrono are in it for like 5 seconds. It's like they don't even know what to do with the 16 minutes they got.

BoboboBo Bobobo - It's about a white guy with a blonde afro who fights villains with his nose hair. His dad was a hair. It's incredibly stupid. I thought it might be funny, but it's not.

Czechs, there is so much good anime in so many different genres... it's often difficult to recommend movies and shows because they might not "click" with you, while other series would.

It depends on your tastes (or lack thereof) and the kind of styles/themes you enjoy.

Since this topic is about BAD anime, I'll send you PM with stuff that I think is decent, and maybe other people will kindly do the same.

As with all anime, you might try to rent it or something before you spend tons of money on a series you might not like.

Back on topic, I never saw the FF anime, but I was tempted several times. Glad I didn't miss much!

I watched the first episode of BOBOBOBO and I thought it was pretty funny, but I can see how it could turn people off.

I did like how in the middle of battle, the enemy removes Bobo's afro only to reveal a pair of squirrels having a serious conversation about their relationship.

I'm not really a fan of Hellsing. I've only seen the first three episodes but british accents mixed with 80's looking animation, and a super slow pace isn't something that grabbed me. I did like the Irish-Catholic vampire killer. You just know that if there really is a catholic vampire killer out there he is going to be Irish.

My other one would be that one that was on Adult Swim awhile back. Reign and Conqeur or something like that. It just hurt my eyes.

Boy I hope people private message me too with stuff.

Nixon
02-09-2005, 04:43 PM
IRC, Hellsing gets better and better as it goes along, IMO. I'd give it another shot.

Jehuty, I'm glad someone else out there knows just how bad the powerstone anime is. I feel guilty for not destroying that DVD once I knew what it contained... but it serves as a harsh reminder of how some anime can be total ass.

If anyone wants to see just how bad it is, I'll send you my copy.
I think it would be fun to have a horrible DVD that's sent to a number of pavilionites. Anyone who received it could post a pic of them watching it and making a face or perhaps a pic showing how they would like to destroy it. In the end, we could send it to Valk, who would finally get to kill it and take a picture of the charred/shattered/bloody remains.

Just an idea.

Worst two Ive ever seen.......

DBZ, and Bey Blades, or however the hell you spell it.

DBZ-horrible overuse of the same punching and kicking frames over and OVER again. Battles last for ridiculous amounts of time spanning out over like 20 episodes for one damn fight. Lame characters....forget it, LAME EVERYTHING.

Bey Blades-WTF its a goddamned spinning top in a upsidedown dome, and they can control them with their minds and souls or some crap. When they want to get their blade, top thingy to attack they jump back and yell "AAAAAATTTTTAAAAACCCKKKKK!!!!!" and all this light flashes all over the place, followed by the enemys blade thingy exploding into peices. Then they fall down and passout from all the excitment. Yes I saw an episode where that actually happened! A guy lost and he went into a coma or something for like a week because he got too worked up or some bullcrap like that.

Theres also numerous amounts of new anime thats still airing in japan thats complete crap too.

Edit-forgot about how they always scream "LET IT RIP!" all the time, like they're farting or something.

IRC
02-10-2005, 10:36 AM
I think that the majority of the Dragon Ball Z movies are decent to awesome. Its a huge difference when they can't stretch it out.

Also for those who don't like DBZ what about the origional Dragon Ball?

Nixon
02-10-2005, 12:19 PM
I like most of the Dragonball series, I love Dr. Slump, and I enjoy some of DBZ, but only subbed. Basically anything up to and including the Freezer saga. After that, it's the same thing over and over and over. Even Toriyama said his editors made him keep working on it, he had planned to kill off Goku after the Freezer saga.

The movies are okay, but they all follow the same formula. Bad guy shows up, plans are made to stop the bad guy, Goku/Gohan/SSJwhatever beats bad guy with a massive kamehameha or something similar. At least the animation is better than the show. I do like the Tapion movie a lot, because he and his brother look like they popped out of the Chrono Trigger universe. Also, the first time I showed the film to a friend of mine (who is not a DBZ fan), he actually cried at the ending because he thought it was so cool.

But everyone hates on DBZ, because it's become the gateway anime for every jerk on the planet, thanks to toonami.

And I guess IRC can have the DVD after Spaceman, but I want it to go back to him once it's ready to be destroyed for good.

Denmo
02-10-2005, 12:33 PM
Do you where that mask all the time? :drool

Worst anime...

Ragnarok Online - Like the actual game, horribly cliche and horribly boring. I would give them thumbs for animation if it was any good after the first episode, but it's not. The characters lack any depth to make them believable, and each episode's story forces the main characters into being heroes. Pshaw.

Star Ocean - Basically, it goes through the second game from Claude's viewpoint. I'd give them kudos for the story if I hadn't already played the game, but the action is so horrifically un-animated (ACTION POSE! ... shift slowly to the right with lots of yelling and sound, maybe a flowing cape now and then. repeat as necessary.) that I couldn't bear to watch past the second episode.

I'm not too much of an anime junkie to know any worse ones...

Nixon
02-10-2005, 02:37 PM
Nah, I switch between my Nixon, Gore and Bush masks, for variety. I do get some looks on the bus. The Nixon mask I have was stolen from a good friend of mine, who used it as the mask for his "Ogre" costume. Imagine a "lord of the rings" style ogre with that exact Nixon mask. It was pretty funny.

And I honestly have never heard of those two animes before now, Den. It seems like video game animes are doomed to awful fates... I guess the street fighter movies were decent (as far as fighting anime goes)... but nothing steller...

Such a drag that they can ruin what might be a decent series with sub-par animation.

IRC
02-10-2005, 02:45 PM
Thanks Nix, I think it would be cool to send the DVD to a bunch of people here and have them all do their pictures. I have an idea involving my third story balcony and a dog. But it's your idea so if you just want to Jspace to destroy it that's fine with me. I've got a Witch Hunter Robin dvd that I can send around. Everyone here seems to think it's worthy of such a trip.

I watched DBZ but this was back in the day when it ran on Fox in the mornings. My gateway anime was Akira which I watched years later.

And I checked out the Wild Arms anime. It was basically just a rip-off of the games. It combined the characters of the first two games and even had a floating rat thing. I never got into it enough to truely tell if it was horrible or not but I imagine it was on par with the Final Fantasy anime.

John Mora
02-10-2005, 03:54 PM
Knights of Ramune. It's literally trash. First of all, the concept itself is atrocious. It's a sequel to a sequel to an obscure children's anime, but there's FULLY NAKED women with HUGE KNOCKERS running around and finding themselves in provocative situations. And then there's the fact that the entire OVA seems to just be a stopgap for ANOTHER spin-off/sequel, and I'm flummoxed as to why they bothered. The dialogue is atrocious, the story gives me a headache and the animation is offensive to the eyes. Valkysas couldn't sit through the whole thing and it took me two tries to sit through the whole thing. Terrible.

Shadow Skill, the OVA. The characters were ugly, the story was vague and cliched all at once and so were the characters. I don't think it helped that the network seemed to be airing the episodes in reverse. The whole thing was so retarded, though, I don't think seeing it in order would help. In fact, the only thing keeping me watching was the fact that I was ill and I wanted to figure out how the whole thing made sense.

how bout that naruto? ****in' rocks, eh?

i think early american dubbed dbz is great for it's comedic value. also a disturbing look at what america tends to do, even today, to japanese animation. all the edits and whatnot they felt like they had to make to try and cover all the death blood and nudity.

Nixon
02-10-2005, 05:35 PM
They edited out ALL THE BLOOD from the first 1 and 1/2 story arcs... that's pretty stupid considering it's a fighting anime that's all about violence.

But after what they did to Penguin Village in the Dragonball series dub... they can choke on it.

I've seen a number of Japanese DBZ movies and episodes, and I do like DBZ climaxes.

My old best friend and I made some 300 pages of a comic called "Axel and Son Retsu" between 5th and 8th grade that heavily parodied almost everything about DBZ and anime in general--we were years ahead of our time and culture.

Incorporating some G.I. Joe and Ronin Warrior influences, we tried to make the comic simultaneously cool and really, really stupid. Insanity abounded: there was a Piccolo-rip-off named Peetree who is sensitive about his name, a musclebound villain who wears nothing but a helmet and really tight pants named Maddik, a comic-relief character named Jerrat who trains in the "Way of the Lizard" and has a nigh-sensual bond to potato chips, an evil ninja named Shadowstorm who has a trove of uselessly backfiring abilities, dialogue such as "Wow, that was a really good idea, Protector--going inside of him and exploding like that," and a couple overpowered deus ex machina personalities who basically make all of the 12+ heroes' painful endeavors utterly pointless. Axel and Son Retsu are always seen together and they rarely wear shirts; one scene in which Son Retsu enters a room with an inauspicious premonition and finds Alex and his girlfriend kissing (ala a caught-in-the-act scene from a soap opera) and reacts with a splash-page of outrage and disgust hints that Son Retsu just might be homosexual. I should scan a few pages. :P

There was only one of the DBZ movies that I even thought was slightly cool, was called Lord Slug or something like that. Get to see Piccolo snap a few arms at the elbow here and there. But that was the only reason I liked it.

All the characters US voices are horrible. Senbei sounds really bad. It would be difficult to live up to the high standards set by the JP voice actor, who often sounded like he was killing himself while delivering certain lines.

The Ga-chans speak coherently... this was very disturbing, since they only say gibberish (little "prrrrrriiiii" type noises) in the JP version, and never actually say a real word. So everything they "said" was just BS they added in.

They refer to a lot of the characters in a strange way (mis-pronouncing their names and such) which leads me to believe they didn't have the rights to the slump anime or something.

If those bastards are the ones that dub it, they better release a subbed version, or heads will roll.

I haven't actually those episodes in a few years, so I can't remember any other stuff right now.

I think Gray might have seen it too. If so, what am I missing?

I haven't seen that much anime, but I'll have to vote for .hack and Rave Master for the worst I've seen. .hack wasn't THAT bad, but I only have a little anime exposure and it moved slower than Milk Chan. Rave Master is horrible in the worst way. I now pray that Static Shock will be put back on as the pre-Adult Swim material. The jokes are so low brow and idiotic not even children will like them, and the animation is mostly just motion tweens.

Some notes:

-Hellsing was good; if the British acting is annoying switch to subs.
-Anderson was SCOTTISH. They make a big deal of this in the manga.
-The last six episodes were an original story outside of the manga's story arc: Kouta hasn't even FINISHED the original manga yet. Slacker.
-Supposedly once he does finish it then Gonzo Studios will make a second season. Because that ending...so unfulfilling. Also it might be good to see them fight the Nazi vampires.

-I probably still have a VHS rip of FF: Legends of the Crystals somewhere.

-At one point I did consider buying Knights of Ramune. Because the theme songs I have heard (all 2 of them) are very catchy and upbeat.

Now, onto bad anime:

1. Sakura Diaries - This is not something I would classify as hentai, despite the few nude scenes. It's all just an U-JIN ****tease. The friggin' TALES OF trilogy had more hentai in it. Anyways, this is about some overly-horny duder who falls for this supermodel girl who actually HAS a celebrity boyfriend but that little plot is pushed to the wayside for his DO I OR DON'T I decision of living with his sexy cousin and her constant advances on him. It sounds sick, and it is. But nothing ever happens, and when it ends...it ends. Not happy, not sad, just...an ending.

There is no number two without going into WELL I HEARD... territory.

(Dis)Honorable mentions go to:

WILD CARDZ - It's a real challenge to try to introduce a series (and indeed, a whole unique universe) using the 60-90 minutes you have. Especially when the characters are forgettable and you're supposed to try to CARE about what happens to them at the end.

Love Hina - Ha ha Keitaro got beat up again! Maybe he's suffering from internal bleeding now! Oh look, Shinobu's crying again and now Keitaro got hit AGAIN because everything that happens is obviously his fault because he's a man. If his friggin' grandmother had just stayed behind it would've saved us 25 episodes of wondering WHO THE MYSTERIOUS CRUSH IS.

And yet I still bought all the DVDs and OAV and movies. I also read Megatokyo for the purposes of archiving the comics. I guess I just like collecting things that are painful.

And I don't need to mention what is awesome: I did that on the old EZboard Pav (also it is not really the point of this thread).

So, uh, yeah.

Blue Gender had this painful melancholy to it that attracted/repulsed me. I guess the repulsion won.

Hmm...worst anime...

Witch Hunter Robin - I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet. Dumbest ****ing lead character ever. "I'M A WITCH? WHAAAA?" "ORBO IS WITCHES?!" "SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE?!" Ridiculous writing and pacing -- nothing happens. Seriously, this show assumes you're a freaking retard. Godawful formula of nothing happening and then insanely ridiculous sympathetic villain gets toasted. Don't feel bad for the villain! He had FEELINGS. God. Someone, no, EVERYONE/THING called this the X-Files of anime. Yeah, maybe the last crappy seasons of X-Files. FEH.

Yu-Gi-Oh - "YOU MUST BELIEVE IN THE HEART OF THE CARDS, KAIBA." This needs no explaining.

Yu Yu Hakusho - Someone once told me this was good. That person is now in the hospital with a broken collar bone and a ruptured...BRAIN. I think the atrocious character designs stand out the most. They look as if a blindfolded Down's syndrome patient with a severed pinky and thumb and a hacksaw lodged in his skull drew them. Hell, in Japan, maybe they HAD EEL SEX with him for a JOB WELL DONE. And well, basically, it's a DBZ clone with a "paranormal detective." Wait, DETECTIVE? No no no. BATMAN is a detective. YUSUKE is a Goku-ripoff scum****. Next.

Flame of Recca - Your typical DBZ clone. The fansubbers must've been 14-year old DIP****S who just discovered the word "****" because that's all the script was every other word. But I doubt a better script could help this by-the-numbers fighting tournament anime. BORING, BORING, BORING.

50% of Rurouni Kenshin - I love Rurouni Kenshin. It's entertaining, cute, sad, and most of the time, relentlessly awesome. The Trust & Betrayal OVAs are among my favorite things ever. But half the TV series is CRAP FILLER. GRRARRGHH!!!!! I don't wanna see Kenshin help a sumo dance! Or have pirate adventures! OR GET HIS HAIR COMBED. MY GOD. If the episode has no point to it DON'T PRODUCE IT!!! Similarly, the last OVA, the one that ends the whole story is half disappointing sappyass conclusion, half recap - it's stuff from the series reanimated in the T&B OVA style. Oh. GEE. Can you say ROBBED?

Card battles... a poor basis for an animated series.

Just watch one and see for yourself.

Since it was the only thing on back when my lunch break was in the afternoon, I was forced to watch that or talk shows. I left it on as background noise, but even that was annoying. The show is incredibly stupid and pointless. The manga is equally inane. Predictable and slow paced stuff based around a card game just isn't my style.

"Aha! My super dragon card is too powerful for your pathetic gerbil of might cards! Ha! Aha! Mhaha!"

Yugioh :D
"Haha! The joke is on you, my good man! What you don't realize is that I've been hiding a card throughout the entire battle that i could have used from the very start but just now decided to use it! My slayer card will make toast of your super dragon card! I only used my gerbil of might cards to throw you off! I win again!"

Some guy :|
"Well, s***."

Nixon
02-17-2005, 06:15 PM
Yeah, that's pretty accurate.

At first, the manga tried to be about something other than the cards. It was still lame and predictable even without them.

A typical storyline:

*Yugi's friend/granpa/bike is hurt by some horribly cliche villian/punk/thug/etc for some reason*

Yugi: OMG, YOU HURT MY FRIEND/GRANPA/BIKE!

*turns into Yami Yugi, gets that stern look in his giant eyes*

Yugi *to offending party*: YOU MUST PLAY A GAME WITH ME. A SHADOW GAME!

Offending person: DER, OK!

*shadow game ensues, Yugi wins through some stupid ploy*

Yugi: OMG PENALTY GAMEZORZ!!!

Offending person: "OMG I LOST ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!"

*Repeat until card games are introduced.*

Let's see, I've seen DB, DBZ, DBGT, Pokemon, Card Captors, Fighting Foodons, Samurai Pizza Cats, Monster Rancher (in bits and pieces), Yu-Gi-Oh!, G Gundam, Gundam Seed, one other Gundam with a number for its title, Ultimate Muscle, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Sonic X, Ruroni Kenshin, and that one anime with the earth child, the space princesses, space pirate, space police, and that thing that kinda looks like a cross between a rabbit and a furball. All dubbed.

The worst, I'd say, are probably Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!. IMO, Pokemon used to be real good. Then I noticed how about every episode featured some random character that would be focused on and would never appear again (save for a few rare occurrances) and would end in some moral about love and/or truth, and I noticed how the show had become more kid-tailored than originally. (For example, when defeated, Pokemon simply look dizzy, instead of before when they actually looked like they were in pain. And they now quickly recover after their trainers come to comfort them.) Personally, I wouldn't have minded had the series ended after the original Pokemon League. BTW, how old should Ash be by now? At least 12? I know in episode 5, it was mentioned that Ash first got Pikachu a week beforehand, so it's safe to say that the journey must take a while.

And then there's Yu-Gi-Oh!. It started out okay, but had since become rediculous how they had to explain every card's action even though most of the time they were all expert card players, how every time the action paused in a card battle there was enough for a monologue or cutscene from somewhere else, how there essentially is a flashback in EVERY episode, so on and so forth. And the story has become weirded out lately, too.

That other Yu-Gi-Oh saga, I think some of it is shown through flashbacks in the card game saga. I think, 'cause some flashbacks shown seem to take place before the start of the US anime (one showing off Yugi/Yami playing a shadow game against a thug). Not to mention that when I watched the first episode when it first came on, it seemed like a bunch of episodes had been skipped beforehand. My old best friend and I made some 300 pages of a comic called "Axel and Son Retsu" between 5th and 8th grade that heavily parodied almost everything about DBZ and anime in general--we were years ahead of our time and culture. That comic sounds interesting, I'd like to see it. :)

What's an OVA?

EDIT: TV Tome has information on the 27 episodes before the episodes we got.

OVA (sometimes called OAV) = Original Video Animations. Direct to video in Japan. Basically, anything that's not an official tv series/theatrical release can be an OVA.

It could be a one shot or a short series (Macross Plus comes to mind). Sometimes an anime television series will have spin-off OVAs that often don't fall into the regular anime's timeline.

I enjoyed both of them, but the second one has better visuals simply because it's more modern and is based on the already cult hit original version (hence the bigger budget).

But honestly, I was dissapointed with the film. It had some incredibly awesome moments (bridge scene, tree chick's lightning fun) and some incredibly stupid ones (last "fight scene" = staring/posing contest, GOTHIC CASTLE TO THE MOON? WTF?).

But I'm all for cel animation, and this is one of the most beautiful examples of cel animation ever.

Yugioh is awful, hands down. Too many ugly idiots, too much yelling, not enough plot. Gouki summarized it perfectly.

I am going to say this for my second one, because I feel it needs to be said: DIGIMON FRONTIER. Absolute crap. Kids that turn into Digimon? Ok, whatever. Bye. This series killed my love for Digimon, so I'm pretty sure you can see how much it sucked.

>_> And I love Witch Hunter Robin. I love it a lot. I'm going to buy it. But the last time I watched it, this girl who was over said "I hate her handlebar hair!" I hadn't noticed, but it made a lot of sense. After all, (and I will admit this is one of the bad points of the show) it's obvious that Robin wants Amon to ride her. Case in point: Watch the opening sequence. :p

Umm... absolute worst?
Birdy Double (there might be Trouble in the title, I dont know)
All the voice actors have no emotion, at all. Bad animation. Generic story about space aliens or some nonesense. RIDICULOUS

Bad shows:
EVA - so boring, stupid mecha
Gad Guard - The jazz-motif doesnt fit the style, stupid mecha again, no interesting characters
WHR - Boring overall, bad story (or none at all)
Chobits/Tenchi/Love Hina/any other shy guy+girls show - GAHHH
Dual! - EVA ripoff, more stupid mecha
Noir - booooring, dumb characters, dumb story

Ehhhh shows:
Wolf's Rain - Slow, not very interesting
Boogeypop Phantom - SOOO SLOW, good style though
Shoping Arcade Abenobashi - Funny, but stupid ending
Aquarian Age - Umm... makes no sense! nice style though
Mezzo - ...so, they turned a hentai series into an non-hentai series?? Its generic anyway

Most anime is stupid, really.

Ew. I LOVE Yukiru Sugisaki, and I love all her artwork, and I love the DNAngel Manga... but the anime is just totally different from the manga and really dumb. >_< I practically worshipped this series and waited years for it to become animated, and THIS is what they do to it? Highest form of sacrilege. EVER. They also had an AWESOME cast for the radio drama, including my favourite voice actor, Seki Tomokazu. Did any of them get to be in the anime? NO. That totally ruined it for me.

I'd have to say Yu-gi-oh is horrid simply because it's associated with that legendarily-crappy card game(plus I'm obligated to hate it because I'm a Magic the Gathering player, and I've had some run-ins with Yu-gi-oh players that reinforce my opinion).

And... I remember Dot Hack as being this huge be all/end all for anime and when I finally watch it... nothing happens, then some uninteresting quiet introspection, then something nonsensical occurs, then... long stretch of nothing again.
