In need of some quick computer help.

So my disc drive decided to be a... punk and now it thinks I have a blank disc in it that I had to manually eject from it. It won't open, it won't close, and it gives me some dumb error whenever I try and eject with a program.

Can anyone help me on this one? If not, I'm just going to take my anger out on explorer.exe

    Don't copy that floppy!

Restart your computer, and before Windows loads up (when you're at your POST screen, the first screen you see) does it open up then? This will determine if it's a hardware or software problem. If it opens fine before Windows loads, you have a software problem. If it doesn't, it's probably a hardware issue.

If it turns out that it opens before Windows loads, what is the exact error message?

Well... It fixed itself. I'm not sure how, but taking my anger out on explorer.exe (closing the process and then re-opening it) somehow fixed it.

I've encountered the problem before under the same curcumstances. I was just trying to make a copy of Starcraft for my friend. =/

Weird. I'd recommend doing a check disk the next time you're able.
