I finally beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on the Crushing difficulty setting.

Yep, you've read that right ladies and gentlemen, I finally beat Uncharted on the Crushing difficulty setting. Gather 'round and neel before the great Superhero Bob! Seriously though, I really like this game (no kidding), I can't wait to hear about a sequal. We probably won't hear anything about it for a while because Naughty Dog still has to make their Jack and Daxter for the PS3. Moving on, has anyone else played this game and liked it? If you say no, you are mentally retarded.

Naughty Dog better be making another Jak and Daxter.

I played the demo for this game, and although pretty, I didn't find to play very smoothly outside of the platforming.

It does take a little bit to get used too, but once you get the hang of it you'll be pulling off head-shots like Tom Brady dancing.

I enjoyed it. Drake reminded me of Indiana Jones except much more laid back and not as heavy handed. The game got kind of ridiculous once the badguys upgraded to laser sights (and it was painfully short) but the production values were ridiculous and the game was pretty fun for the 8 or so hours of play.

I dare not play it again under crushing and this is coming from someone who beat Ghosts n Goblins with one quarter.

Why are so many of these new-gen games so short? They expect people to pay $60 for something that's done in an afternoon just because of how blue the disc is and how many ps are on the screen? Nuts to that. Nuts indeed.

Not really, the thing that kept me from turning off the game every time I died was the none existing load times between dies. That, and the very frequent checkpoints throughout the game.

Those that haven't play Uncharted yet should know two thing:

                  1. It plays like a interactive movie.

                  2. At times, it is a pretty funny game.

I play my games in short bursts (maybe an hour a day, sometimes an hour a week). I made this complaint when I was in grade school and had 8 hours to blow on a game in one sitting but now it takes me months to beat even the shortest games. I just beat Final Fantasy XII and Dragon Quest VIII earlier this year and I've owned both since their release.

Quality is of course more important but no matter how good the game is if you can finish it in a couple hours there's not much point in spending $60 on it. But I'd also never spend $10 on a movie. I'm just cheap basically.

play any Capcom game with a Disney tie-in on the NES. you can beat those games in less than an hour, some of them less than 30 minutes.

Sonic 2 and 3, Beyond Oasis.. those games I could beat in less than a couple of hours. Games haven't gotten shorter, and I don't think many of them have gotten more expensive.
