    My three glorious thoughts!

Today, I finally got around on working on my RPGM 2 game. As I'm playing it, I thought of three things:

    1. I have a hugh amount of work ahead of me.

    2. As I was designing one of my interiors, I thought, "I wonder if anyone has made multiple interiors using the building editer, then aline them on a map to form one big 'super interior'? Has anyone done this? I haven't tried it, so I'm not so sure it's possible, though I don't see why it wouldn't be.

    3. I'm really bad at designing interiors.

Points 1 and 3 are well, pointless. But point 2 is a good question.

No, its not possible. You could sorta fake it. It wouldn't be very convincing, but it would be very awkward. You'd have to use some teleporting events, and because you can't have door objects or add doors to interior graphics, the player would be walking along and suddenly be teleported to another interior. I don't know about you, but that would be extremely confusing, irritating, and would detract from the immersion.

Wait, what you just said doesn't sense to me, as of yet anyway. If you can't have door objects or door events within interiors built with the building editor, then wouldn't that mean you couldn't have door events or door object on maps either? I know for a fact that you can have door object/events on maps, unless you mean you can't place door events within interiors made with the building editor, but that dosn't exactly make sense. I'm confused.

Points 1 and 3, are in fact, pointless.

... What Maker are you using?

You could do it in 1 and 2, but not 3. You can't add doors in 3, but you can add touch activated warp events. I was saying that it would be awkard and would detract from the sense of immersion.

I've actually always wanted to try #2, but have yet to obtain the patience, time, and RPGM2 skill to do so.

Well, you could always buy the game anyway, I only paid $13 for mine. The biggest question you have ask yourself when considering making a game for RPGM 2 is (besides can I afford this), "How much is my desire to make a good, quality game?" If it's anything under "a lot" then you should probably just stick to RPGM 3. Although it should be noted that even if you want to make a good, quality game, you still might not do so. I'm just saying....

Anyway! I hope you someday decide to buy RPGM 2.

In RM2 you create an opeing in the wall of the room, place a couple black blocks as ground in the void, and place an invisible event that activates when the character steps on it. Play the foot steps sfx, and warp the player to the other room.

Its fairly simple, and is no different than what you would do to create the exit to the building. I did it myself to add a second floor to a building (when my PS2 could still read the blue disc RM2 is on).
