Yeah, they're the epitome of dumb 80's rock, but you people have to admit that Eddie is one of the best and most inventive guitarists in the world, and Roth is one of the best entertainers, and I love them so SHUT UP

I ignore the naysayers and agree with Translucid. This was like the coolest thing I've ever seen. They played amazing and David Lee Roth can still do flying split kicks!

And yea he did eruption for like seven minutes.

when I saw them (with Hagar, ugh) Eddie played an Eruption solo for about that long, and he eventually got on his back and was playing. I think I later found out he was pretty drunk that night.

Nah this van halen was totally cleaned up, it was incredible.

Though to be honest I wouldn't have minded some sort of supershow with sammy hagar there, too. They are pretty much two different bands but the van hagar era had it's share of great songs.

Van Hagar is a different breed than the original band, and sadly throughout the concert there were not many Hagar-written songs that I enjoyed.
I'm pretty sure they hate each other, whenever Hagar had to sing a Roth-era song he kept putting the mic up to people in the front row so he wouldn't have to sing, oh yeah and SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS. like just on stage.
