So my fellow pavilionites.......... what are your plans this long weekend?

I believe us Canadians enjoy our long weekend first, and then you Yankies enjoy it next weekend, no?

Anyway, I had today off and met up with a friend. We went for dinner at Moxie's (I had an awesome burger!) and today was $5.95 martinis, YAY!!

Afterwards, we went and saw Baby Mama which I will admit I laughed out loud to. Must have been the martinis talking.

I work Friday 9-6, and Saturday 10-7, but on that day I get to dress up as Homer D. Poe, the mascot for Home Depot. It will be fun. I'll sweat about 4lbs off, but meh, that's what showers are for.

I'm hoping to meet up with another friend who keeps changing our plans, so we'll see.

As for Sunday and Monday, I'll probably go bike riding, and the new Narnia movie may occupy some time.

Saturday my brother's girlfriend is graduating from college, so I'll be with him to see that.

Wow! Sez actually has something that resembles a life.

I work Friday, Saturday, and probably on Sunday as well. Yesterday and today were my two days off. I work early on Fri and Sat, though. I'll probably be helping Bill redo my basement room. It's gotten wet down here a few times, and there is mold/mildew starting to grow on the walls. I'm gonna pull all my furniture away from the walls, he's gonna cut away the bad lower half, and replace with new drywall, and probably early next week, we're gonna replace the entire carpet down here. We had a lot of rain in a short time a few days ago, and the carpet got soaked. Plus, it's been full of stains (it's a tan/off-white color) since I moved in. So I suggested that we replace it with something darker. Bill lays carpet for a living, and does handyman work on the side, so he knows exactly what to do for all of this. Once the walls are done and the new carpet is in (plus, I'm getting a "new" couch...the one formerly in the living room went to the enclosed porch when a woman gave Bill a $2500 sofa, just because she said it didn't match her carpet, and it got put in the living room. My old $20 thrift stoe couch -which the cats tore up with their claws-is going onto the porch, and the other one, which is a LOT nicer than the one I currently have, is coming down here), I can FINALLY set up my room in a permanent fashion instead of having everything be piecemeal and temporary.

Tomorrow (Friday) I'm driving out of town. Saturday I'm dealing with the property manager and landlord, then going to a party. Sunday I'm going to explore a little, see if anything interesting happens. Monday I'm dealing with collegiate red tape, then going back home the next day.

Next weekend, I'll be financially recuperating.
