Tag Moderation

Is it possible to have a tag moderator(I seriously doubt this is possible) or make it so tags can only be editted by the topic creator? I dont see the point in having tags if people just insert stuff that has NOTHING to do with the topic(take perversions going away topic for example).

I mean if this is the way people are going to treat the tags Id say just take them off and save some bandwidth.

Ive been going through some old topics and adding tags and I like the tag idea a lot, but all these nonsense tags that has nothing to do with the topic is ****ing the tag system over seriously.

Hmmm....I'm sorry this bothers you, JPS. I've been doing little things like this both here and at the Mag (the Wiki page in particular) for quite some time now. Valk already knows about some of the little stuff I've done, and never had a problem with it. I know these tags are a new thing, so I'm not sure exactly WHAT the regulations are, but if it's not hurting anyone, why even make it an issue?

Personally, I tagged one of my threads as Barack Obama for the same reason when I uploaded my songs to Last FM, and I tagged them at 7% similarity to Britney Spears and 84% similarity to Merzbow. OBVIOUSLY, my music has nothing in common to Britney Spears, nor does my post have anything to do with Barack Obama.

I'm sorry, JPS, if my idea of little pranks and practical jokes that I really do not see hurting anyone offends your sensibilities in any way. I guess I'll just wait to see what Valk's ruling on this is.

Tag moderation would be too big of a hassle.
