move over, Sega Channel - delicious wii info inside

so, nintendo channel just launched randomly about 20 minutes ago. download's 123 blocks, I think.

after you download and start the thing, you gotta authorize like 3 different things, then you are treated to an intro video with MIYAMOTO~SAN OMG XD

these are all streaming videos, I can tell because every so often the video pulls a RealPlayer and BUFFERS on you. lolnintendoonline.

after you're done *********ing to miyamoto, you are shown the main screen.

you can browse through da pages here, wee. basically just new info and videos on games.
but wait! find titles for YOU??? INVESTIGATION ENSUES

oh hey it's the freaking wii shop channel. but now you get to look at games for Wii and DS, and it'll show you info and videos for them. maybe now nintendo can sell something other than carnival games.
Hmm, I'm opinionated. I wanna recommend stuff.

you can recommend anything you've played for over an hour, EXCEPT NO MORE HEROES LOL.
basically you just vote on who in your household enjoyed this game (or channel) the most, how old they are, what gender, how high they rated it, etc.

    BEHOLD, DS OWNERS

it actually has a number of demos.

and apparently you can purchase games online or some crap like that.

ok, you can go back to playing GTA IV now.

Cool. I'm most interested in the DS Demos. I haven't bothered downloading one from a store since back when Elite Beat Agents was one of them. It was fun to get a taste of the game.

It's cool to have the DS demo section.

Now I know never to buy Ninja Gaiden DS.

you can't reccomend No More Heroes on the system.
because, you know, it's rated M.
              gotta be family friendly.

I dont think that's it. there's quite a few games I have (both retail and virtual console) that it's not letting me rate, no matter what their ratings are. one of them is dewy's adventure. which is probably the most child-friendly game on the system. and I have played it far more than an hour. its just not showing up.

also consider there's a demo for the T-rated Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword freely downloadable to anyone of any age who feels like doing so.

Good if you're one of the people who complained that the xbox games were too hard. In the demo I just scribbled on the screen and ryu was killing everything with ease. Not fun.

I didnt follow any technique or specific pattern to pull off a move, i just scribbled on an enemy and the game did the rest.

The 1Up guys said it sucked bawlz on the regular difficulty but the harder difficulty you unlock after beating it once is satifying enough to make it a great game. Bad choice on Tecmo's part to not have that available from the start.

well, you don't need an ID to buy a teen game.

I don't really know what it is that some games aren't on there, I just assumed it was that because that was the only game missing out of the ones I could rate. :3

So I'm guessing you can only rate "popular" games or something? Isn't this rating system kind of self defeating?

                              Sega Channel already moved over.

                              like fifteen years ago.
