Which is your favorite? I honestly liked 7, but 9 might be my favorite.

I see no Tactics. That's the only Final Fantasy game I actually took seriously.

No spin-offs at all. Only can have so many poll options thouigh.

I liked 1 2 and 7. If only because those are the only ones I have actually finished.

As for spin-offs. Crystal Chronicles, Crisis Core and FFTA.

No spinoffs? In that case, FFVI and FFIX. I attribute my hatred to all post FFVI games (except for IX) because they made Nomura the lead character designer. Amano is 30x better.

Seriously, how many pockets, belts, and zippers must one costume have?

The more I think about it, the less I actually mind Nomura. I'm more bothered that all his main characters are mopey emo kids than the fact that everyone is uber zipper-laden.

How was Tidus not mopey? He breaks down into tears at least twice in the game. And every other time his dad is mentioned he goes off on a tirade about how he HATES HIM.

And christ; I'm still seriously embarrassed any time I think of that scene where Yuna and he laugh really awkwardly for like five minutes.

I'm more embarassed by that final boss music. I had to mute the tv at that point (the television at the time was in the family room).

I also like the lion's share of Nomura's designs.

Amano did the original designs for FFIX which brings me to my next point:

Nomura really, really likes whiny teenagers. I couldn't even play past the intro of The World Ends With You because Neku is seriously the most annoying character in any video game ever.

Zidane on the other hand was like a bright ray of sunshine but he never degraded into that "it's okay as long as we remain friends!" mentality that plagues most japanese protagonists.
