Yeah so everyone that knows me, knows that I'm a geek. I admit it. I'm okay with it because I get paid to be a geek.
Anyway, about a month ago I decided to pay for my CompTIA A+ certification (two exams, total exam fees was $277) and I took the tests yesterday. I scored 830/900 on the first test and 855/900 on the second test. It's a good thing I passed them too, because if I didn't, that money would have went bye-bye, they only give you once chance each.
It was a dream of mine to be A+ certified for a long time. I feel kind of loopy right now, it hasn't hit me as reality yet that I actually did it. I had to drive an hour and a half to Troy MI to take the tests, but it all paid off.
It's only uphill from here! I'll be going after more certifications. I studied hard for this test, but it turned out I didn't really need to, all the stuff I was asked during the exam I would've gotten right anyway. I guess the studying was just self-assurance. Now, I can relax for a while before tackling my next exam. I'll probably work on making another game, playing games, or just everything I couldn't do when I was working toward this thing.
Next? Probably my MCP. (Microsoft Certified Professional for non-geeks). I think that will be the next logical step for me. I'll probably kick that pig in June or July.
Now I can get a good nights sleep...
