I liked Warrior Within, but I came to hate the Prince in Two Thrones, and eventually started calling him the Pansy of Persia
I've realized over the years that their are two kinds of gamers, Prince of Persia gamers and God of War gamers. I've never met/talked to someone who liked both. Always one or the other.

Eh, I hate the fantasy twist that Prince of Persia acquired. While PoP has always been more like a throwback to Arabian Nights, you were still primarily fighting real human enemies and dodging plausible traps. I wouldn't mind an actual PoP game that was about frikkin PERSIA and the height of the empire or something. Even if they did toss in a little fantasy twist, it would be nice to see something other than "Prince of Persia that doesn't take place in Persia."

P.S. I'm a GoW gamer by the way.
Nothing you said makes sense. I know tons of people who like both games, myself and Jamos included.
Also, the Prince in Warrior Within was an angst-ridden ass clown. I never played The Two Thrones but I loved the original Prince and was really ****** off when they changed his character around in the second one. It just didn't feel right.
Count me as another person who liked GoW and PoP, I liked PoP more.
According to EDGE Magazine this game will have a new main character who's not even a prince but a desert drifter caught up in a battle between two gods. It'll be non-linear and all fights will be one-on-one duels instead of groups of baddies.
It's not a reboot. Just a story about a different character. It's in the same universe as Sands of Time, though I doubt that'll have any impact on the game.
I've played the version made for 186 or 286 or whatever PCs....and downloaded the remake on XBLA. I think I rented the first game for the Xbox many years ago, and gave up after some trap kept killing me.
