This means 3 different things:

1: Once a release date is announced, the fan translation will most likely go on hold because

2: Nintendo producers originally said that if the VC Earthbound sold well then they would consider localizing mother 3 which leads to

3: The rumors of a Mother Trilogy DS version might become a reality since I highly doubt releasing a GBA game in the next year or so is financially viable.

This is, of course, assuming they even decide to think about Mother 3.

Still, once this is officially released I will be happily gifting anyone that doesn't have the means of purchasing it (I put that in bold because I'm not buying crap for your rich mofos).

I don't think I ever mentioned in Earthbound topics that Mewtwo is actually based on Giygas.

The correct translation of Giygas is Giyig. The original developers of Mother 1 and 2 was Ape Inc which was dissolved and formed Creatures Inc (the producers of the card game). The lead composer from Ape Inc is the president of Creatures and was one of the developers of the first pokemon game.
