I said the changes wouldnt be anything major, I was um... understating things.
The forums changed a LOT.
the most minor change is that you can now add tags to threads. this will help make threads easier to find, as someone can just click a tag and see other threads with that tag.
thread prefixes will be added this weekend. So I won't go into that yet.
you can now add threads on the pavilion to popular social bookmarking sites, like digg and stumbleupon. the option for this is at the bottom of the thread, above the quick reply box.
The profile pages have recieved the most changes.
There's a new networking category in the user cp. the friends list is now accessible from this section. there's also a social groups section. you can create a group here, or search for groups other people have made. if you create a group, you are in control of who can get into that group. members of a group can post messages to that group that are not viewable to those outside the group (except administrators). You can make a group for whatever you want (multiple groups, even) just as long as they follow forum content rules.
There's also "pictures and albums" where each user can upload 20 images to be displayed in their profile gallery. if you're a member of a social group, your images will also be displayed there. you can also comment on pictures in users' albums.
you can leave messages on member's profile pages now.
you can edit the appearance of your own profile pages through the "customize profile" section of your user cp. you can use images uploaded to your albums to customize your profile.
If you have any questions about these new features, please consult the FAQ. if anything isnt working properly, PLEASE let me know right away. I figure it's going to take a while to get everything running perfectly, so please have some patience with any errors.
